So I guess there are two trains of thought on fridge power. Fridges on 120v AC Inverters that, when plugged in to shore power, dont cycle the battery at all. Fridges on 12v/24v/48v DC that dont need the inverter to be on while traveling or boondocking, but put more cycles on the batteries. Considering the increasing energy density of Solar Panels and batteries, id hope that we get more and more 48v electronics that allow more watts to move through the same cables with less loss, without having to us an inverter (either AC or DC) What are your thoughts?
Did you wait 8 hours before powering up as is the normal procedure for new install when the unit has been tilted as in the case of jockeying it in the bus! I sure hope you did and trust I’m just missing it as it is a video! Love the workmanship my friend!
Great video...Now I know how to take mine out to fix the leaking water. Has your fridge started to leak water out the lower right corner yet from inside the fridge housing? Do you remember if there was any kind of drain hose? I have rusty water dripping out. Thanks in advance...Scott
There is a reservoir in the back of the refrigerator underneath it.. Maybe your drain line has clogged? Is it draining from inside the fridge out or from underneath the fridge?
@@TheBusLifeShow - we can't see any type of drain pan and aren't sure where a drain line would be without removing the frig from where it is installed.
@@theroadroamers2618 there’s a little tiny drain hole in the lower part of the fridge about 3/4 of the way down. You may be able to get an airline in there and try blowing that out first.
How's that frig working out? I have one in my Host camper and it stopped working within a year and Norcold customer service rejected warranty repair twice and didn't respond until days later. They didn't even have the potentially bad part in production.
@The Bus Life mine is the 12v 10cu ft. I hope it works for a long time because their customer service is or was the worst. I called (on hold for a long time), and registered the unit and a week later I had an authorized service center submit the warranty work and they denied it because it wasn't registered.
If you have every tried to Breath-Out more often than you Breathe in, you will understand my next comment. You can left WARM air escape (from behind) at (above) the top, but IDEALLY you ALSO need to let cooler air to get in behind, from DOWN BELOW. If you mount it on a SLIGHTLY raised pedestal (base), you can design in a lower air-passage (vent) beneath the fridge, to facilitate circulation of ambient air, to the heat-exchanger (refrigerant coils) at the back of the appliance.
Shane Julie kids please pray 4 me where going to court to get kids back and believing to get them back at that point I believe (even when u prayed my skin on my leg grew back tx all pray 4 ur daughter also and family
Beware of Norcold's reliability, warrantee and repairability... Terrible track record on their DE0061R. Turns out some Norcold products not fully repairable and regarded as throwaway.
What a beautiful life! 🙏❤️😊
Pretty exciting to have all those new appliances...you deserve them!
That is one sweet looking refrigerator! It looks like a quality product. I wish I had something so nice in my apartment.
The Refrigerator looks Great! Your Bus is beautiful. The woodwork is awesome. Congratulations! Getting it all done!

How you going to keep the fridge doors from opening while traveling ?
They have latches that keep them locked shut.

@@TheBusLifeShow - it is not draining from inside the frig. It is draining from the metal casing around the frig.

@TheBusLifeShow is the hole you are talking about on the side of the fridge and is there a hose or drain pan?
$5K for a fridge....WOW!!!

Is it the same fridge? Ours is still working great.
