Well assuming he's not so ignorant on the subject of firearms, hunting, reptiles and the upteen subjects he "takes liberty" with to make his stories more exciting I would at least say that he purposely does it just like Hollywood does when they've made movies out of his material....only SK pitches a fit about Movies like "The Shining" , how they totally screwed it up. Any guy who says a 410 bore shotgun will take care of anything including (insert here), any guy who talks about "Peruvian Boomslangs" instead of African Boomslangs etc either has NO idea of the subject matter he writes about and is believed to be an expert on, or he's lying and full of bullshit. Kind of like crying over library books being banned and then pulling RAGE off the shelf😂 He's too busy pissing all over his blue chambray work shirts and worrying everybody is going to blame him for everything
As far as I remember, this is one of the first novels he wrote and published under another surname. Some mistakes or inaccuracies can be understandable I guess, unless he made that part of the story on purpose to show it's not really about his dad being a good hunter, but someone who does it just it for ""sport"" or to ""show his manliness"".
