A lovely tradition! In Britain they also would celebrate the end of the harvest by making a corn dolly. It could be a small or large doll made from wheat to represent the harvest spirit. It was believed to being a good harvest by the spirit and was burned after the harvest feast!
Thank you for your insight into your Christmas traditions in Ukraine, it's very interesting. And I love the idea that the old tradition is being revived in the face of RuZZian aggression, to show your spirit will not be broken but strengthened 💙💛🇺🇦🏴
Thank you Eugenia for presenting us Didukh! Very interesting Ukrainian tradition. In your videos, you're doing a great job presenting the Ukrainian culture to the world.
Hey:) nothing came to my address however maybe it came to post office i will check with them, it could take months btw its very slow, thank you so much for this)))
Such a cute tradition. But I don't like the term "pagan." It's a derogatory term used by Middle Eastern religions which were used to stamp out native culture around the world and control the people. Maybe it's time to revive and update indigenous culture and religion.
I love learning about Ukrainian traditions ! 💙💙🇺🇦🇺🇦💙💙
So interesting! Thank you for sharing your traditions! 💙💛💙💛💙💛
