    A true master craftsman.

  • @stringlocker
    @stringlocker 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    Back in the eighties a friend of mine would go to Every guitar store and fined the plexi`s and turn them up to 10. He was looking for the right one. That's pretty much all he did in his life. I guess that's not too bad.

      Hahaha I doubt it I haven't seen him in a while. But I don't think us guitar players ever find what we're looking for.

    The shelter was a good episode. It would be cool if Rod Serling popped up in the background of homeskoolin' and started narrarating.
    "Uncle Larry was convinced he amassed thousands of followers on TH-cam, little did he know his phone hadn't worked since he was washed away in the flood. Now he lives in a purgatory of plexis broadcasting to no one. You're traveling to another dimension, whats the sign say ahead? Nashville? No, you are in the Twilight zone!"

    At 1:41 I yelled out "Oh Screw you.." and I mean it in the nicest way. Like a stink face that couldn't stop at the non verbal form. I love that you post videos. I love to hear you play weird chord voicings. You bring me joy in your videos. No overproduced crap, no trendy thumbnails, just enlightening us with a tiny slice of your everyday one piece at a time. I hope you see this and other comments like it and it makes you feel good about what you bring to us. Thank you Uncle Larry.

    Still sort of a newbie but totally appreciative of what you do Uncle Larry. Glad to see that you got through the plague and are back playin' those gorgeous intros. Man...Thoughts and prayers that the storm doesn't cause any flooding in your place. Two major storms in Nashville within a year or so? Crazy. So your buddy Steve's memory is like Marilu Henner, the chick from Taxi, in case no one commented on it. Probably one of those blessings but potentially a curse type of "powers". I'd hate to recall things like Aug. 10th, 1992--ah yes, memories of the night in the limo with the rotund woman, champagne and dummy dust-no! That MXR Stereo Chorus still sounds good! Those Distortion +'s also weren't too bad back in the day. That IS amazing how Joan Osborne could stand in the between two blazing guitarists and still stand and deliver. That is a trooper! Cheers sir!
    PS-Holy Christ-hadn't gotten to the view of all of the Marshalls--wow Tom, that is pretty insane! Insanely cool! What a pretty sight!

    I have that yellow chorus pedal. It’s got the AC plug coming out the back. Ha! Yeah. That one. Noisy as all get out. I had the flanger, too. The noise that thing put out drove me insane one night. So I smashed the living piss out of it. Of course now I regret it. Back in the day pedals being a thing that would become serious value on the vintage market wasn’t happening. Not as far as I remember. Anyway, I did the same thing in a fit of white noise rage with original-issue pedals like the Cry Baby, a Fuzz Face or three, many EHX original issue tin box noise makers and modulators. Oh man. Oh well. They come. They Good Grief! Love ya, man. Love your skills and envy your Marshall’s. In a good way, of course. No vitriol here, man. Those Marshall PAs were amazing. Rock On. Hope the storms have zero effect on you and yours. 🎶🎶💙🌻🌈🌅🎶🎶
