Major General Gagan Deep Bakshi SM, VSM or G. D. Bakshi (born 1950) is a retired Indian army officer. He is from the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles. He was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal for commanding a battalion in the Kargil War. Later, he was awarded the Sena Medal for distinguished service in commanding a battalion during counter-insurgency drives. He subsequently commanded the Romeo Force (Part of elite Rashtriya Rifles) during intensive counter-insurgency operations in the Rajouri-Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir and succeeded in suppressing the indigenous armed movement in the area (These districts come in Pir Panjal Range and have significant Muslim majorities. He has served two tenures at the Directorate General of Military Operations and was the first BGS (IW) at HQ Northern Command (India), where he dealt with Information Warfare and Psychological Operations.

I am also a jat , an assistant professor and son of a retired army JCO ,I do agree with the general on some points and disagree on others like when he was mentioning that about how crowd was so elite when GC's were from elite schools ,similarly the way he is involved in verbal spats with his Pakistanis opponents on godi media channels like "Republic TV" is denting his image

You know, you misunderstood. Hosting a tricolour is an act of courage not muscle. It was your interpretation.
Also, I'm sure you follow ndtv, India Today and CNN, Times now sometimes when you use this derogatory term like 'godi media'.
