    Bokolisa is also Ijebu food. You can also get them in Ijebu area and I love it so much...

      Ijebu that are closer to Ilaje. Ijebu waterside to be precise

      Bokolisa is ikale/Ilaje/apoi Native soup, but Ijebu people also enjoy it. Which is fine. The same was Ikokore is ijebu food, but people of other tribes also love it.

    Have been looking for this soup since 1991...had it in FGC idoani, its was served to boarding house students with eba. Never had it since then. until i saw it few months ago on IG and now after getting the seeds, am learning how to cook it here.

      Hello Dearie pls can l add spinach because l can't get ewedu right away or what other substitute l also have dried ugwu and bitter leaf at home can l use any of this.thanks

      It is very rare because the major ingredient that is bokolisa seeds can only be found in Ikale/Ilaje area of Ondo state Nigeria

      You should be able to get it from any vendor who sells Pupuru Ikale. Or better still go to Okitipupa

      Yes Bokolisa is supposed to draw like ogbono. But it does not draw as much as ogbono

      You can try isikan market there is this ilaje woman but married to ikale that is selling dry fish, you can ask her or beg her to buy for you anytime she travels to buy fish

    I don't think that Ijebu people cook it with ewedu. My grandma did not.

      The ewedu is actually a choice. Some people use Okro, ugu etc. Here is a Bokolisa and Okro recipe

      You don't really need to mixokilsa so much. It dissolves easily
