Have been looking for this soup since 1991...had it in FGC idoani, its was served to boarding house students with eba. Never had it since then. until i saw it few months ago on IG and now after getting the seeds, am learning how to cook it here.

You can try isikan market there is this ilaje woman but married to ikale that is selling dry fish, you can ask her or beg her to buy for you anytime she travels to buy fish

It is very rare because the major ingredient that is bokolisa seeds can only be found in Ikale/Ilaje area of Ondo state Nigeria

Yes Bokolisa is supposed to draw like ogbono. But it does not draw as much as ogbono

I don't think that Ijebu people cook it with ewedu. My grandma did not.

Next time, remove the fish from before adding the bokonisa.
Next time, remove your fish for proper mix
You don't really need to mixokilsa so much. It dissolves easily
