Well, those are 2 rows of patterns right and eight patterns in each row. We would have to ungroup them and then go back and merge all those surfaces together to make one surface to just pick the curve. So, to me it is just easier to chain edges with the blend command. But if you know of a way to make them one surface quicker or easier please share so we can all learn. I would appreciate that.

What's the key command or shortcut to select ALL of one layer color?
The color palette. Just I think right click the color you want to select.
