Someone correct me if im wrong but i think this is where the trend started. I remember reading this issue as a kid and at the time is was new and thrilling. You can argue the clone saga started it but i mean, nobody liked that era. And the internet was what it is today so it felt fresh when i read it.

something ive noticed is that fisk is always characterized as a scheming, shadow-lurking puppeteer in the comics ive seen, whereas in games and movies hes just kinda a dumb brute with a lot of money and grunts.

His family and loved ones are his anchor. If he lost them....well, some spiders jump, some spiders float with web gliders, some spiders make webs, some are venomous, and some make traps. He's technically capable of all of the above, but he normally has a conscience to guide his actions. Without it he'd be just as bad as Jameson rants in his newspapers.

Few things are as scary as when Spider-Man goes silent.
One of the things scarier than that is when he promises to kill you.
I was really looking forward to the moment Peter confronts Fisk. It’s easily the most intimidating Spider-Man ever has been, standing with half his suit torn off, beating the ever living crap out of Fisk, and threatening to drown him with webbing while holding the folds of his neck. And considering that Kingpin is built like a brick shit house, that’s saying a lot.

The messed up thing is that Daredevil basically just got Fisk out of prison after this happened (I don’t think that he knew about this incident , though .). We should have seen Peter confront Matt about that sometime down the line, but it was never even brought up again. That was a missed opportunity .
Should have had Daredevil pay Fisk a visit before Spidey gets to him.
Daredevil: I'm not the devil you should be scared of Mr. Fisk, you have two choices surrender or take your chances with Spider-Man.
Thank you for this break down/ dramatic reading. This story has way more to it then i have seen it being covvered online. Very enjoyable to listen to.

The lightning, the mood, if i had to score the scene of spidey redawning the symbiote suit, it would be something like the undertakers theme, or lights theme from death note, that kinda score that when played, you know someone is going to fucking die.

This is the type of Peter Parker Venom longs to be with. The one that doesn’t hold back, the one that doesn’t care if bad people get hurt. Hints why the suit is modeled after the one when Peter originally bonded with Venom.
Felicia made him the black suit after Peter found out venom was a symbiotic because she liked the look. Also I don’t think venom cared about not being able to kill, he was more angry that Peter was the perfect host for him but Peter rejected him. Venom bonding with Eddie made that hate even stronger plus when venom bonds with flash (who idolises Spider-Man) venom no longer had the hate boner for Peter
When Parker breaks out the black suit... someone seriously f**ked up.

This is the main reason why most villains don't go after Super Hero's family members. They will forsake mercy and kill them without holding back. Shooting Aunt May is exactly like shooting his mother and Peter will utterly annihilate the culprit.
Your voice acting is honestly amazing. If you're a professional voice actor, you should probably let people know.
It kinda blows my mind how poor miss May gets widowed and bodied in almost every iteration of the spodermin story 😂

You know, I doubt rather highly that any of the heroes would want to duke it out to the end in a highly populated area like a city and I don't understand why people keep writing hero clashes as such. Regardless of their ultimate end-goals, their primary focus has always been to Protect the Public. Waling on each other in the middle of New York with what cataclysmic capabilities they sometimes possess doesn't exactly fit that. At all.

I mean, after partaking in a HERO CIVIL WAR, Nick Fury, one of the only people in the Avengers with access to healing technology this advanced, would very much disbar Peter from healing his aunt... having lost his privilege as an Avenger by participating in this war.
Iirc he did try to have someone help her after he dealt with King Pin. He asked everyone and they all said it was above them. Even Dr. Strange said he couldn’t do anything. Of course that was all bs to raise the stakes. And so Peter had to sacrifice everything to Mephisto to heal aunt May and make everyone forget he’s spider-man.
Which is why people hate the end of this storyline. Made it seem like Strange, Reed Richards, Doom, etc. were all incapable of saving aunt May just so Peter had to rely on help from a demon and lose his relationship with MJ. Because Marvel hates it when Peter is happy.
What good is SHIELD anyway? All they seem to do is try to enforce tyrannical laws, get infiltrated by HYDRA or be grossly incompetent in general.
