I started working on “Owane - yeah whatever” album in the beginning of February, with the recording session being in mid May. it was absolutely draining process. Not because of the speed, or power needed to perform parts preprogrammed by Owane, but because of the sort of mechanical vibe to them. I can just describe it as - no drummer by chance would come up with parts as such, so needed to enhance my vocab immensly!

Tasteful is the word! I can tell by the sounds of his playing and my own life experience on the drums at this point that he can go absolutely silly on the drums. Not overplaying with a band when you have that ability is not always an easy task but the result is that tasteful sound.
Your time signatures with Owane are extortinary, masterful. Brings back memories of Santana, McLaughlin, Demeola, and Billy Cobham. Either way, wonderful music.

Damn bro this song is way harder to play than i imagined! Its just that you make it look so easy. Theres actually a lot of complexity in what you played on pretty much every section other than maybe the heavy bit at the end. Such a dope drummer, you inspire me, keep going bro!

Wouldn't even attempt to pronounce your name. Masterful drum work, especially from a straight kit.
Reminds me a bit of Neil Peart, who used a barrage of percussion. Massively impressed with your skills.
Personally, keyboardist, guitar, drums and( jazz and rudiments oriented) and some woodwinds. Other then your mastery playing , doing it with a straight kit is quite exceptional.

javier gonzalez Using condenser and dynamic mic combination gives me opportunity to take crack from 57 and nice high end from 451.
There are many possibilities why you want to record top snare with two mics:
1 clean + 1 heavily distorted and mixed lower in level
1 brighter + 1 darker
1 softer + 1 harder when we talk about mics transient response
Everything depends on what you want to achieve
