Hey Bill, I hope all is well. I’ve been following you for years and I get a lot of value out of your content. You are a great success story which includes having to restart your channel after the original one was deleted. Great work and I look forward to the next video.
Hi Patrick! The old channel had 182K subs and this new channel now has 158K subs. I'm so excited to be bringing the channel back to its former glory. LOL! I'm going to have a big giveaway when I get close to 182K again. Thanks so much. You're entered in the contest!
Hey Bill, nice video. like someone else here, I'm shocked the 6-32 and 8-32 didn't snap, I've seen a fair number of Greenlee bits snap when used on an impact driver. I personally only use drill drivers and cutting fluid/cutting wax when using these bits because I try to get them to last as long as possible. I really like both sets. the 4 piece set is definitely the most used sizes in the electrical trade, while i appreciate the 8 piece set having an extra 8-32 and 1/4-20 because those get used to upsize blown-out 6-32 and 10-32 holes.
Hey Bill. I've been watching you since my pre apprenticeship training a year ago and I can happily say I've landed an apprenticeship and I'm 7 months in, a new set of drill bits can go a long way 🙏
Hey Bill. Mechanical Engineer here subscribed as of a month ago and I've learned a ton from you so far. I rewired half my house and have done a few panels and really enjoying the work. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
Winning one of these sets would be an IDEAL money saver for me and most welcomed! :-) Thanks, Bill, for publicly sharing your craftsmanship. All the best.
Thank you for these reviews! I have followed your channel for a long time, you helped me learn how to do conduit bends. I am so thankful we live in an age where information can be shared freely to make us all better at our jobs. Thanks again!
Sounds like something that needs to go in my electrical tool box. I could sure have used this when updating the circuits in my house to meet code requirements.
Your channel has been very informative. I have learned a lot from you. I have parched quite a bit of tools that you have recommended making my job a lot easier. Thank you.
I have used these before and they are fast and easy. Was looking for the 6-32 size (not in the other kits I have), so good to know Ideal includes this size.
I have broken a few taps, they are hardened/not flexible. So dont bend sideways at all, straight in, straight out. Or snap. This double step looks nice, it will warn you before you start threading. I always slow down the speed while threading.
Hi bill I’ve been having the greenlee drill tap bit for quite a while. I’ve always have this problem of the tip always breaking apart. Thank you to introducing the ideal set. I’m really looking forward to purchasing a set.
Mind blown again, I'm used to drilling then tapping, and using oil to boot. Never thought there could be a one bit solution. Can't say I do it very often though, and I've probably used at least 10 times the number of self tapping screws versus pulling out the tapping bit. You can pass the kit to the next person where it could get better use if I come up in the drawing . Thanks for broadening my awareness!
There’s nothing harder than getting a broken tap out of Metal, who named the easy out, Robin Williams, it had to be a comedian. Digging your Wilton vise. Nice demo Bill!
LOL! I don't have a garage, so my Wilton vise has to live outside. I've always loved that vise though. I bought it at the swap meet about 30 years ago. I think it's from the 50's. Thanks so much. You're entered in the contest!
Good demo for sure. I’d you use a small pilot bit first it will reduce wear and tear on this set. If you only doing a few holes here and there this is still worth it!
Thanks Bill! Your videos have been super helpful. I’ve fixed many a 3-way switch in the house thanks to Sparky Channel. Thanks for bringing this set to my attention, too!
I absolutely love your videos, Bill. You always pick great topics that are so informative. Your tool reviews are spot on. Thank you for the time you devote to making these. G-d bless you and your family.
Hey sparky. I’m an electrical apprentice living in NYC. I’m totally broke and could really use a tap set! Please help a struggling electrician out! Love the channel and your content. Thanks again!
I like this product. I'm concerned about somehow breaking the bit if it binds up when tapping. My other concern is how long does the bit last before getting dull
Great product demonstration, Bill. It is always great to learn something new and get a chance to win something cool at the same time! Quick product question: 1. I see you used both the drill and the impact driver, which do you prefer for tapping screws using these bits? 2. If I am tapping a grounding screw in a metal box and do not want to over-penetrate down to the deburring segment, how well do the threads hold up without deburring? Thanks again!
I prefer the impact driver. It will go all the way to the deburring part every time unless you go really slow. Thanks so much. You're entered in the contest!
The 3 flute and step bit is slick over the other brands. Does it seem like you have a longer drill depth before the threading starts? An idea for the manufacturers… for the 10-32 make it with a 5/16 shank so you chuck a 5/16 nut driver in your impact or drill then stack the tap drill in the nut driver. Just like you use the tapcon driver.
Could this work for interior vehicle work? Like I just secured a shifter with self tapping screws and this tool would have be a blessing to have. Thanks for the content.
I'd really like a 4-pack of 10-32 - those are the ones that are always in "the other bag" since I am always adding EGC pigtails in early 20th century houses.

Yes, that was quite a thick bracket I drilled into as well. Thanks so much. You're entered in the contest!
Thanks Bill! I have to add grounding screws to a bunch of outlets that have grounded boxes and this will certainly save a lot of time.
I like that they have the electrician in mind on these kits. What a time saving tool as well.

@@SparkyChannel the set I have now are the greenlee broke my 6/32 on first use lol
How do they compare to the Klein tools set
I like the eight piece set Bill is very nice and useful plus you got a couple extra in case something breaks!
True. Thanks so much. You're entered in the contest!
Looks great, they would be great to add ground screws to boxes.
Yes, they are perfect for that.
I have a set a use for adding ground bar inside msp or disconnects

Only if you can drill through the piece and have clearance behind it so you don't start drilling something else. Won't work in a blind hole.
I'm interested to see how the easy start (step bit section) compares to the regular ones.
They have been working well for me. Thanks so much. You're entered in the contest!
