This was one of the, if not THE most entertaining Vergil boss fight i´ve EVER seen!! It wasn´t a combo mad, but rather a very anime-esque fight scene, with even character-friendly gameplay in the mix. Amazing work!!!!
Eh idk about that one. So far only humans have stated any of them (mainly Dante) are stronger than Sparda. None of the demons who fought Sparda and then fought Dante or Vergil have supported that claim. Argosax doesn't talk, Beowulf spends too much time ranting about wanting you dead, and Mundus just laughs while hes torturing Vergil and if anything seems to think that Vergil was weak stating "Sparda. Sparda that traitor! Had he not sullied demon blood with a human womb…Perhaps he could’ve had a son with at least some grit.”
I mean, that bitch slap nearly killed him. Cut the man some slack, not convinced he didn't run off to grab popcorn watching his rival getting bodied by his own child but details

Watching perfectly orchestrated DmC5 fights is like watching an insanely good action movie/anime fight with x1000 intensity. The music, the lore behind Vergil, Dante and Nero, the different phases of the boss... I can't. This is peak epicness condensed in a single game chapter. Enjoyable without any limit.

I can't help but appreciate this moment at 1:23. Nero and Vergil, Son and Father, Hacking and Slashing it out to see who is the dominant being. But a moment like this really shows how powerful both of them are, And The music at this moment solidifies that meaning home. This little encounter as Vergil slashes Nero and Then Nero just straight up Sends the yamato through Vergils Spine is just so amazingly done, it made it feel impactful and emotional at the same time, as if they were trying to kill one another. This hits hard since Dante said himself "I can't have you kill your old man!" I'm sad to say, but I think Nero was TRYING to kill Vergil. Even though he wasn't, he felt like he was atleast trying to give Vergil a few good hits hard enough to nearly injure him. But I can definitely say this, they weren't holding back. God I fucking love this game.😭

He doesn’t know how strong Nero are so he just tried to beat him. Vergil only use his doppelgänger when he realised he is losing, but I believe Vergil still unable to kill his son At the end of the fight, Vergil hasn’t lose yet, he did say “I still can fight” but realised he might ended lose anyway. So he found a perfect excuse to avoid child support and run into the abyss of underworld So yeah… none of them want to kill each other. They want to stop each other and show the true power, yet Vergil still lose

If Code Vein had taken this style combat for its gameplay, it would have been a million times cooler. Admittedly the game is already pretty cool. This would have just made it more epic.
True, then again it was inspired by games like bloodborne that is more about playing carefully with a bit of aggression in there But yeah, if it had this kind of fast moving combat, jump button and powering up ability (DT as the player’s Lost awakening state (can picture something like Queen’s Knight))
But Code Vein is a “souls-like” game, it wouldn’t make sense if we had this type of combat; jumping around, doing lots of combos, etc. Besides, I think the combat was good already, if only the Season Pass would have been better, it would have been a 9/10 for me. Unfortunately though, the DLC were garbage and the level design left so much to desire.
The Nero vs Vergil fight is really cool, but let’s be honest Nero did kind of 3rd party the fight, Vergil was already tired and hurt from his fight with Dante
This fight is full of great moments, but 3:27 might be my favorite. Not by a wide margin, but it might take the gold I also love your timing on ending DT during grapples, just before he slumps over from exhaustion. 2:31 Perfect

Cool that Vergil returned. I played DMC 3 on the Switch and liked him a lot, although I didn't understand much of the story at all. I started DMC5 the other day and it's very fun so far! I wouldn't have guessed that you know who was you know who AND you know who, while also being you know who during that one flashback (I didn't know that Nero's arm was Yamato, I probs would've figured it out of I had known that).
This game is seriously many cuts above all other games that try to come near it. Goodness these interactions mid fight makes it feel like a damn movie or cinematic in game. Good job bro I legit got chills on this one.
