This was the first gojira song I ever listened to and I fell in love with them. Got all the albums, the merch, listened to all the songs, just absolutely became a huge fan but I was never able to see them in concert as a kid because we didn't have alot of money and now at 25 I finally saw them live and they crushed it. They played this song and alot of their stuff off Amazonia and magma and it was absolutely killer. They are one of the best live performances I've ever seen in my life because they sound just as good live as they do on record 🤘

@@mattiatosi8350 yea because their old videos aren't uploaded on the Gojira TH-cam channel they are on other Music Label channels and they are all in bad quality because of how old they are, they were uploaded probably 11-13 years ago on TH-cam so they were in really low quality, so they are re-uploading all the old vids on their channel in HD quality now
They've used a similar musical idea from the outro in other songs, but this has gotta be my favorite version of that. Backbone is a close second. The counter point the drums give to the guitar is just awesome beyond words.
The nice thing about discovering a band almost two decades after they started is that there is a lot of material to hear and discover. So to me? This is a brand new song and I'm excited like hell! They've used a similar musical idea from the outro in other songs, but this has gotta be my favorite version of that. Backbone is a close second. The counter point the drums give to the guitar is just awesome beyond words.

The nice thing about discovering a band almost two decades after they started is that there is a lot of material to hear and discover. So to me? This is a brand new song and I'm excited like hell! The video itself I felt was harrowing. I felt like my attention was been torn in two between listening to the lyrics and the melody and watching the story unfolding in front of my eyes.

I mostly hate songs this heavy, but there's just something about gojira's music that not only makes it listenable, but actually pretty good.
This is the song that made me buy The Way Of All Flesh and that's what got me into Gojira back on 2010. First time I heard Gojira was when they released "Ocean Planet" as a single and I watched the video on AOL music. I thought my computer was going to explode it was such a heavy song! I'd never heard anything like that at the time. "Vacuity" sealed the deal for me though. Been hooked ever since!
