I was a (mostly) lawful player in 3.17, but in 3.18 I haven't been able to stop stealing and pirating xD Can't help myself it's been too much fun!

I'm thinking of getting into the game. Do you get to keep the ships you steal? As in you now have unlocked the vehicle once you've got ownership?
@@Bawlstacheo nope, if you steal a ship (npc or player ship) through boarding, you can use it until destroyed, even refuel & repair, but after you leave server or it gets destroyed its gone. The only ship you always keep is the ones you buy with real money or ingame with ingame money (strongly advise to get them in game instead of paying real money).
You can also rent ships, you can reclaim them if destroyed but you can't change the loadout.
I once had almost every ship you can buy ingame to try them all, but there are sometimes resets/wipes with major patches where ur ingame bought ships get deleted, but thats not often, once i had my ships for 1,5 years straight.
But all you need is the starter ship, fighters are cheap so you can probably buy a good medium fighter after a few days of playing.

I heard solo can be fun too but I come from games like planetside2 where team play is heavily emphasized and I get my kick of fun by doing some kind of operation with a bunch of friends.
Absolutely love my corsair, i use ballistic gatlings on it against service beacons because its hella fun. A more efficient route would be to get cannons, but who can give up the brrt?
Haha yes the brrt is hard to let to :) ballistics are so scary right now for larger ships
I do the exact same thing, only downside is small fast moving tragets.
Today we pirate and steal our first corsair because i can't even buy it on the pledge store if i wanted to hope they are buyable soon but for now we will make do :)
Honestly, if you want to fly one without a CS just hit me up. Im happy to share the ship with the less fortunate. I am however not running the PTU. Tried it 3 times and every time my client crashed before i even got to the hangars.

Using the gimbals really hurts its dps for bigger targets if you use the fixed size 5 laser cannons or ballistic deadbolt cannons you can take out hammerheads and such much much faster the difference between size 4-5 is pretty noticeable
Yeah ballistics destroy in 3.18 it's crazy we got destroyed in our reclaimed last vid haha
After the mess of 3.18 this calmed me down, I think my SC career will be watching HODS vids and skipping all the bugs/lagg ingame :)

Does anyone actually like the combat chatter? Like if I'm doing a bounty I'd open coms to tell the dude to surrender but I wouldn't leave them open to hear them sayin "Shit." "Son of a bitch." in their shitty fake accents, and I don't imagine they'd open the com channel again and again during a fight just to say that stupid shit over and over. It's the most annoying and unimmersive part of the game. Should be when they take enough damage they signal a surrender and we can answer the coms or ignore the call.
What was the fighter that lander farther away from you at the beginning (not the arrow the other one)

my duo has been shooting the doors of a corsair for 5 minutes straight with his ship and nothing has happened wtf 1000 bullets of a lumen smg aswell and nothing

Out of curiosity, what happens to someone’s pledge ship when it’s stolen?
You just reclaim it on any ship terminal, just like you would when you crashed. The thieves get to keep it until they leave it, at that point it despawns if the owner claimed it.
in 3.18 you can keep it for as long as it lasts

@@RatigansIsland @Telesto_Timelost no, it's a stolen ship maening you can pilot it around however now with the persistant hangar you can sorta keep it forever just can't store it via hangar elevator. There's talk of being able to make fake licenses in game which will let you interface with asop terminals however deeper police scans may reveal it's a stolen ship and get you a crim stat

Why does this game still look like absolute garbage it is so laggy and desynced pvp is basically pointless
I don't get it. You can grind and grind for these million dollar ships, and someone can just double tap you while you're out doing missions and take it? That doesn't seem even sustainable as a player.
That's why they sell insurance in game, claim for free and wait or pay a minor fee to "expedite" that process. Takes longer the larger the ship

I mean the Connie is similar, but less dps. and then the redeemer has no cargo.the 600i has shield holes for days. I guess it's partially personal preference and aesthetics but I like corsair more. What's your top solo all rounder? Not saying I'm right just my opinion.

I guess if the ship has scarcity and you can't even buy it with real money, owners might need to understand involuntary sharing might be chosen for them.
I personally think breaching a ship and taking control should take more then some shots, but that would require developers to implement technical skill trades like hacking, ship maintenance, electronics, etc. in a reasonable level to make sense. The game should go more RPG like in regards to skills, though maintaining the FPS action like mechanics.
Let's be honest, the game looks amazing, but the gameplay mechanics are still very crude.
Yeah can't wait until it's a bit more polished hopefully when 3.18 drops it's better than the ptu atm haha
