    HERE ARE SOME THINGS I COULDN'T INCLUDE IN THE VIDEO:
    1. Ryuma comfortability with Brooks moveset. It would make ALOT of sense if he was good with brooks french fencing style IF he had faced it in the past and possibly learned from his contemporary who could be the man behind shusui.
    2. MINK is a WEASEL = Cavendish's Epithet
    3. hmm there was like 3 other things, but i forgot at the moment and there will definitely be more support for this theory put into the context of OTHER theories because thats how this channel works!

    This actually relates to why by it we’re saying about Laws secret name “Water”:
    D clan theory:
    Basically, we have 7 clans of D and 7 days of the week (which became relevant when we got Jaygarcia’s name or title as “Saturn”. I can’t remember the video I was watching but the guy said out of the blue, in a completely different context “Trafalgar Law’s secret name is water” which given how recently I’d heard the thing about Japanese days of the week, immediately clicked as important. Basically I’ve put together this list of potential D clan secret names which makes way too much sense to me.
    Monkey D. (Sun/light)
    Marshal D. (Moon/dark)
    Gol D. (Metal)
    Jaguar D. (Wood)
    Portgas D. (Fire)
    Rocks D. (Earth)
    Trafalgar D. Water
    And most of them have the hint in their name. Gold is a metal, port gas can be used to fuel a fire, rocks is well, Earth. Monkey and marshal are thematic to the story and trafalgar is known to be water. Jaguar has no particular link to wood other than the fact robin found him in the woods of Ohara which had the tree of knowledge, a very big wooden thing.
    Oh right I also think it would be cooler if Luffy was Monkey D. Light Luffy than Monkey D. Sun Luffy since he’s just such a delight
    Alright I know I'm supposed to be sleeping but this came to me while my mind was adrift
    And this just adds to my theory
    The will of D. Is the will of Day or Days
    The D clans could be the opposite or inversion of wanos moon clans
    The guardians of day to wanos guardians of night
    Law being a napoleon reference was also a distraction from the real meaning

    I think in 800 years the World Government surely tried to take over Wano at some point, they wouldn't let Wano with all the kairoseki and tresures just be a closed country. So what if the dragon that was defeated by Ryuma was someone from the World Government trying to seize Wano? Maybe an admiral or someone who had the fish fish fruit long before Kaido? Just a tought

    Parvision, you told me to look forward to this video, and it's fantastic. I love how specific you got about countries, I think it's important to be precise because Oda would be with his research. And talking about colonialism is *essential* in understanding One Piece so I'm happy to see you touch on it. I'm sad it's the first time I've seen anyone talk about it.
    Another heavy subject I'd love to see you talk about is Oda's view of Vegapunk through the lens of Japan's view of Albert Einstein, as the inventor of the atomic Bomb. I think these things deeply affect the design of the One Piece world.
    Great vid and thanks

    The thing with Mihawk is that hes supposed to be a reference to Vlad Temptest III who dawned the name "son of the dragon" ie..... Dracula. The man who put stakes up the rectums of the enemies so they can suffer for says if not weeks if the stake was blunted or sharpened. The demon was cruel but a hero in his own country. But this is where his erupean style comes from and the black blade. The blade when in use is the reverse cross that resembles the symbol of the anti-christ. The black blade nature helps establishes this. The most important note that Dracule Mihawk is his full name. Last name is Hawk. Its the type of thing that sounds better off the tongue and just works better. Dragon hawk. So what does this all mean? I have no idea but bearded daddy is someone i want to make a grilled cheese with icecream for. Yes in the grilled cheese.

    while i think that this video has many interesting points and there might be a lot to this theory, it should be considered that it is quite common for writers to draw inspiration from different cultures and blend them without necessarily implying some secret message. I work as a concept artist and even when it comes to character or weapon designe, we will use references from different cultures in order to create new and interesting designs. Same goes for the choice of names and basically any creative aspect of a story. I am not saying this to debunk this video as it might be true, but I just want to mention that we shouldn't expect all the countless One Piece theories to come true just because we think that there are tons of implications when in some cases, it's probably just Oda enjoying creative freedom

    • @Parvision-
      @Parvision-  ปีที่แล้ว

      i think my favorite implication that i didnt mention in video was that if cavendish had mink lineage, then his epithet is literally weasel, and thats what a mink is. L'ollonia was probably pronounced L'oyonia like how quesadilla is pronounced. Oyon is probably related to Hebrew Ayin (Eye), at Latin borrows a lot from Phoenician and that's the first "phonetic" writing system. Zoro got the eyes, and you just brought up "snake eyes" so I had to say this. Also the Bible is VERY anti phonecian lol they're the people of Canaan & Tyre who irl were conquered by Alexander the Great & who in the Bible where conquered by Israel. so that sentimate could be symbolized by the "snake" element.

    Apparently European steel was much better than Japanese steel due to the quality of the iron available. Japan isn't a good source and fractures easily, which is why Katanas are folded many times in the forge to get out the impurities and designed for slicing rather than the bashing and varied fencing styles from Europe.
    It could be a comment that European swords are better in real life.

    It could be that the amatsuki clan + their allied families were installed by these european victors to be the watchdogs of the WG, aka the marines. the people who would keep order down below the realm of the gods. similar in my mind to how the uchiha were treated in konoha's history in naruto. that could tie in to the connections you draw in your other theory and also set up a perfect scenario to fuel the friction between the marines + the WG, both having origins in royal families, and important roles, but with the marines ultimately subjugated by the WG

    What if The kozuki clan 800 years ago was a clan of blacksmiths craftsmen and inventors and there inventions were so superior that they were responsible of creating all the supreme grade blades and even black blades. All the Known swordsmiths include Kotetsu and Kozuki Sukiyaki of the Kitetsu school of swordsmiths, as well as Shimotsuki Kozaburo. Except for shimotsuki the rest of the others share a similarity in that they are known for making cursed blades. And are kozuki clan members. The kozuki is also known for being writers and readers of the poneglyphs. What if the ancient weapon pluton is a cursed blade made by the ancient kozuki clan and this resulted in them going into hiding.and that the ors giants pulled the continent of wano from its original place so that it could be hidden all because of this blade. I have only one thread of evidence for this. And that is because when toki jumped into the future she did not arrive at wano but rather at a far away island in the middle of nowhere. What if that island was once apart of the original wano. Another evidence is the sandai kitestu and nidai kitesu. This would mean that the kozuki clan was a very advanced and talented tribe of blacksmiths and craftsmen. Meaning it would be unfitting for them to be the shogunate or even the royal family. Some event may have happened to result in their rise for power. as in the creation of pluton may have made them gain this status boost. The only un established thing is their connection with the minks and the poneglyphs and why are they scattered around the ancient world. Perhaps it’s linked with joyboy or even imu

      @Potato98765 nah I don't think we need to worry! I have a shanks video discussing my reaction to the kid fight. And in that I talked about how oda will handle the OG characters like mihawk and zoro. It'll all be similar to luffy and shanks, no doubt in my mind and it was 100% validated when we saw how oda handled garp too. Garp being the most OG since he is a pilot character that at one point replaced shanks even haha

If Zunisha is the key to opening Wano, maybe it was also the reason it was closed of and that was the purpose of the apology. If Zunisha turned on Joy Boy by helping the WG confine the samurai/Kozuki, that could also explain Zunisha still punishing itself until it can correct the mistake.

    Par, I love your content and this an interesting idea but I just don’t see how this could be implemented into the story at all. Like is Oda gonna write a whole ass detour mini-arc to send Zoro to West Blue or whatever to discover his European based roots? Is he gonna carve out a big chunk of one the future arcs like Laugh Tale or the Final War for it? Even though those arcs are already gonna be busy enough. Is it gonna happen before or after he fights Mihawk? And what is the narrative payoff? Zoro learns how to fence? We’ve already seen that Zoro being a Shimotsuki had no actual plot relevance. So what exactly is the story to be told with Zoro’s Roronoa roots? What would him being part Mink matter?

    • @Parvision-
      @Parvision-  ปีที่แล้ว

      it's because the world government Is gonna represent the western nations. france played a massive role in western development philosophy, politics, and the major revolutions. but on top of that France has really good relations with japan the entire time. so the plot essentially is how did the European nations take over the world and colonize it. that's the world government. if you're asking where it falls in, its basically any arc that will be placed to develop the world government. like a water 7 to an enies lobby. situation. water 7 being venice and giving alot of context to enies lobby which was a fight over poengylph knowledge and pluton. we dont know why they wanted it then but now we will and whichever arc develops the world government prior to void century, wille ither be end of elbaf or right after. it cud even be lodestar.

    • @Parvision-
      @Parvision-  ปีที่แล้ว

      as for the narrative payoff. itd be the realization that the world separates them but the lineage and blood do not. so how did those labels get placed and why? whatever information we learn in this regard would be great background to better understand void century history. we have wano, which was a primary factor in the void century, we sort of know the world government and we dont know the ancient kingdom. the way its playing out is ancient kingdom is greek, world government is rome. all the nations that shot out are the offshoots or Latin based countries, which Is reflected in the story. and so you if learned of a major player like the French side, that would serve to overlay the void century and give us a better understanding of major players

    • @grizzlyadams8277
      @grizzlyadams8277 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Parvision- Hmm ok that is pretty interesting. I honestly would never expect Oda to use Zoro to explore those themes but it’s definitely not impossible and it would be a welcome change to how Oda writes him. Sorry if I came across as aggressive in my comment. I’m probably just a bit jaded after how Zoro was handled in Wano with it feeling like we were gonna get a seriously meaty storyline and instead it’s just a solid B, ~Skypiea level storyline for him.
      Also the point you made about Wano basically being in a Dark Age for their swordsmanship is pretty cool. I actually thought it would be a pretty dope storyline if Zoro becomes a leader in Wano swordsmanship and helps lead a cultural revolution to re-establish Wano’s status as a premier Swordsman nation. He would likely need to be recognized by Wano at large as a spiritual successor to Ryuma for that to happen though so who knows.
