      I have watched both the child and adult version of this show. Its interesting....I have noticed more accidents and injuries with the adults than I have with the children. During one of the challenges in the adult show, they were tasked with cutting onions. 4 people cut their hands in the first 10 minutes. I have watched 2 seasons of the Junior show and haven't seen any injuries.

    Sean’s elimination was so unfair, I don’t really think it had anything to do with race. He was eliminated bc he didn’t demonstrate good leadership skills, not bc he had an unappetizing dish. Previous episodes clearly show how much potential he had, I’m not sure if he deserved to win but he definitely did not deserve to be eliminated that early. But I’ve heard that other S2 contestants say that Sean wasn’t the friendliest...

    • @culinaryqueens4864
      @culinaryqueens4864 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think that while Sean was a great cook, he didn't really work with his team in that challenge. They also probably picked Oona because she kept messing up the squash blossoms, and that brought the team down. Samuel did screw up here and there, but he did have good leadership skills, and he was a good team captain. I don't think it had anything to do with race.

    I assumed they at-least gave them directions & recipes either during cooking the dish or before lol. It’s only common sense they don’t all know how to cook every single dish nor put it together nobody really does but especially that young. I also expected grown yet immature adults to try & divide a kids show with the racism remarks as well. Its even worse today then it was then! It’s about the kids having fun, following their dreams & getting the chance to have the $ for school or whatever they need. Look how innocent & happy they were for each other & so supportive. You will always have sour adults trying to ruin that. I’m sort of shocked they don’t get it until 18 but it’s smarter for those who’s parents would blow it sadly.

  • @84953
    @84953 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    It surprised me a little that the kids were told as much as weeks before what they'd be cooking, but I guess it makes sense. It's still absolutely amazing what they come up with on their own. I mean let's face it, how many kids in this age range, especially the 8-10 year olds are even exposed to these kinds of foods? So far as what's going on with Gordan and the kids, I'm not surprised at all. It helps the kids not be afraid of the judges to see that vulnerability with all the dunking and so forth. Personally, I sometimes do question the wisdom of letting kids as young as 8 compete. On the other hand, maybe it does help them to be more confident.

      No, they’re correct. Maybe casting the show was a little different for the season your friend was in, but for me everything they said was correct except the audition process. The process was longer than said in the video and there were about 5 auditions that you had take part in.

    My question is, these are YOUNG children (I believe they said the age bracket was between 8-13). And they are using very sharp utensils and ovens to prepare these meals. I know Chef Gordon and his team of judges go around to the different stations while the children are working and if there IS a problem (such as a fire) they will step in, but IS there adequate supervision while the children are handling these dangerous implements?
