ive seen so many live versions of buckethead playing the same songs on youtube but everytime he plays it so differently it always has a new experience for me. there will never be one like buckethead ❤
I can't get enough.. it's like watching something being born. I sure hope these 2 guys put out an album together, they are superb together. I've never heard anything more original in my life. smooches, » Phy³ . . . --------------~
These guy's are the shit, saw them yesterday. unfortunately not together at the same time. was a cool concert, i would definitely pay to go see that show again.
I'm about to see them in a week. first time seeing either of them. They are playing Ram's Head Live! In Baltimore, MD. I saw Children of Bodom play there a couple weeks ago and I love that venue so much. I cant wait to see the Frankenstein Brothers there!!!
I'm going to see them on April 6th in Pittsburgh! HE'S GOT A BUCKET ON HIS HEAD!!!! (I feel like screaming into Pittsburgh traffic on the way down "Hey! Get outta my way....I'm trying to get to Buckethead's TOYSTORE!")
@Zelbiagirl I just went to their show in austin last night, it was one of the most incredible things I've seen in my life. So first of all go, and if you aren't opposed to it, light up right before. But basically here's how the set works, they open up with their own material which is some very brilliant improv, which is either ambient and tasteful,or funky. After that they have an intermission with BH dancing, and then they each play one of their own songs (solo material) then they jam on.
Now If Only Those 2 and REGGIE WATTS formed a band I would devote my life to going to see their shows entill they the get booked to do a gig on the sun, Us meer mortals wouldnt be able to stand the extreme heat.
It was some weird pipe thing with a bunch of sysn pick ups and a stand up bass string with bass drum pedals... all kinds of things. He's called "that one guy" and he has a number of videos posted on youtube
sorry lol i made a mistake i saw him play this live in massachusetts and my friend got his nunchucks but if u still wanna know where we were we were in the front row on the left in Northampton, MA
Yes, i have listened to much of Buckethead's music, from Giant Robot to his work with Claypool. i think Buckethead is an awesome musician and entertainer. i was just confused by your statement about atonality on this particular song. i thought you meant that this song was atonal. sorry, shouldn't have said it like i did...
the two weirdest guys in the music industry playing on the same stage. I would have loved to see this. That1Guy's live show gets a little repetitive when its just him, I bet Buckethead balanced it out nicely.
I was standing right below whoever was filming this. There were an amazing number of people at the side of the stage who obviously had no idea who Buckethead was before coming to the show, and they kept bitching loudly about the lack of a band. It was annoying.
I disagree -- I think they complement each other nicely, Buckethead being the specialist (guitar), That One Guy being the jack-of-all-trades (entire rhythm section, amongst other things).
hey my bad i accidentally marked the first comment as spam instead of hitting reply anyway i wasn't expecting a mosh pit, but it was insane, i thot i was gonna die there's a part of the show where he handed out toys (random, i know) so everybody pushed their way up to the front of the stage, which was how it started, then after that he went straight into jordan...thats when it really hit..i got punched in the face three times, and one guy was crowd surfing..he was a dick so we all dropped him

Great show. The Bucket sounds amazing as always.
What instrument is that 1 guy playing though??
Yes, i have listened to much of Buckethead's music, from Giant Robot to his work with Claypool. i think Buckethead is an awesome musician and entertainer. i was just confused by your statement about atonality on this particular song. i thought you meant that this song was atonal. sorry, shouldn't have said it like i did...
yeah he opened for buckethead.
lol yeah i saw a bunch of headbutts, moshpits, people picking others up like crowd surfing lol
lol i was on the top part looking down at the moshpit lol
"wanna change the world, there's nothing to it"
They start to really mesh well at 3:40
yes
amen
Yup.

hmm neato. that's pretty original.
thanks for the response.
The "magic pipe".
lol i know every little thing someone would do the bouncers would come lol
i wonder whats its like to work with Buckethead?
no i just don't want to die
is the song near the end nun chaka kata? I don't know. I can't guess the song
12 years later, I seek for nun chaka in comments and find you. Yes, I also got that impression mate! LOL
No, it's "that one guy". Maybe he was just saying that he preferred seeing Buckethead and Les Claypool together
i've been to two shows and there was a pit at both of them. In my opinion in fit, esp when he was really shreading, but i didn;t join or anything...
So do Bucket and Guy play different sets, or do they play together the whole time?
was he even around when that cd came out?
@rush1er I'm going tomorrow! You jelly? :D
THAT 1 GUY SHOULD PLAY THE BUCKET ON BUCKETHEADS HEAD.
HAHAHA, Nice!
Some say he's from space, others say he's from the Bay Area. Either way...
Folks just call him Buckethead.
@thenazgullord how can you hate buckethead
i like it but at what point was there a star wars song played....
I disagree -- I think they complement each other nicely, Buckethead being the specialist (guitar), That One Guy being the jack-of-all-trades (entire rhythm section, amongst other things).
i think that is les claypool playing his bass strangely...
@thenazgullord do you even know what atonality means? i don't think so,because this song is not atonal
where were you guys standing?
Mike.
6:36 \m/
jam name = 5 second minute
lol i know every photo or anything and they'd be off the wall
lol, understandable
I wonder what Claypool thinks of That 1 Guy....they should throw a jam down...perhaps they already have.
lol
huh? Is it Les Claypool?
Im just hoping when I see him in Buffalo, Im there early enough not to be behind a whole bunch of people.
sounds like a zelda song O_o
hey my bad i accidentally marked the first comment as spam instead of hitting reply
anyway i wasn't expecting a mosh pit, but it was insane, i thot i was gonna die
there's a part of the show where he handed out toys (random, i know) so everybody pushed their way up to the front of the stage, which was how it started, then after that he went straight into jordan...thats when it really hit..i got punched in the face three times, and one guy was crowd surfing..he was a dick so we all dropped him
Is this suppose to be good?
Please change this title. Someone got excited and mistook a simiar riff as the theme for starwars, you let me down.
@royiscool88 He/She probably likes Slash and is upset that Buckethead is better than him.
never happened.
they didnt play no fuckin star wars!
YOUR THE FAKE CHIZZLE!
what's that song at 1:15?
