    Wow, you really opened my eyes on these reels. I have the Eagle claw but haven't used it much and agree that the little spin casts coil your line. I replaced line this year and went fishing last week and the line was all coiled. Impossible to detect a bite that way. Thanks for a great video!

      Glad it was helpful! It was pretty eye opening to me as well. I have noticed for years, how badly the coiled up line hurt our chances of catching fish, and I have even witnessed how bad line twist can be, but doing this research has convinced me that there is a time and a place for a good inline reel. Thanks for watching my friend!

    Thanks for this information. I just started to research these inline reels and this video came up. I mainly fish water up to 15' deep i the lake we live near and these inline reels seem to be best for them. Your review of these reels was great for me know knowing anything about them. Now to ask what your favorite line setup is for these reels. Thanks and God bless!

      I run anything from 3 pound flouro to 5 pound flouro for panfish and crappy, matched to rod action.

    Thank you for this recommendation. Not only going to pick one of these up, but I'm going to pick up the rod and reel combo! Plus I'm from Michigan, so bonus supporting a Michigan business!

      Thanks for the kind words friend. I am confident that you will not be disappointed, as I am very happy with mine. I have it on a carbon fiber jiggin stick (custom built), and its perfect for everything from small pan fish to pretty decent sized game fish.

      @@TeamJesusOutdoors awesome, I'm looking forward to it. I've seen the owner of sportsmen direct say it's a really good reel for boat jigging Detroit river walleye, but I can't find any videos or discussion about that. Might pick up a second one to jig walleye this spring if it's as good as he claims. Any thoughts?

      I haven't tried it jigging open water.

    Thank you brother for putting the video out there. I stumbled on your review, just what I was looking for! I live in Mi. and I'm driving to Sportsmen's direct tomorrow to check out all of what they've got. Didn't know they even existed. Thank you also for being a good hearted religious person passing along a moral and positive message. We all need to be better to each other. Our lives on this beautiful earth is very short lived. God bless and fish on!

    On your handles coming loose I’m thinking you should flip over your handle so your tightening on your retrieve if that’s posable

    Great video! My biggest complaint with the few inline reels that I've had is the drag. They were hard to dial in and felt herky jerky (not smooth) when you pulled line off. I'd be interested if you thought the Ice Hopper trigger had a smooth drag. Merry Christmas!

      Thanks for watching and supporting TJO. I too have noticed with some of the inline reels, a less than smooth drag. The Ice Hopper has one of the better drag systems I have found on inline reels.

    Try Pisicfun ICX frost or carbon?

    About the ice hopper real, can the handles be switched to left or right ? I jig right handed and like the handle on the left while reeling in fish and Visa versa with my left hand .

      @TeamJesusOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The sell either left or right handed retrieve.
