Thanks for this video!!!!! Those idiots at 13Fishing forgot to add instructuons or a description of the reel. Been looking for 15 minutes all over their site and internet on what wtf those buttons on the handle side were for. Finally got fed up and decided to search YT. Your vid came up and here I am. Thanks for going over it and explaining those damn buttons/toggles. Like you, I was intrigued about the in-line reels and for this season, decided to get one. Going to try it out tomorrow and see how it goes. Tight lines bro!
I've got one. I use it on a Berkely cherrywood HD ice with Gamma copolymer 6#. So far lots of perch and some walleyes. Then I got another and got creative, I put 30# Berkely X5 with a steel leader and used it as a dead stick. Brought in three nice pike with no issues, love these reels! The clicker works great! But have to use it with the "bail" open to bypass the drag. So much better than spinning reels, gonna get another. They are like ice fishing baitcast reels.
I just got one on sale to replace a broken spinning reel for my heavier ice rod. I’ve got 8lb flouro, but I’m probably gunna swap on some braid eventually. I like it. I did see their pricer inline ice reel, looked good. I like 13 fishing’s stuff
I just picked one up and the drop speed control doesn't work. Or at least it doesn't drop. I have to pull the line out to get any line to come out. I've even taken the reel off and oiled it and still nothing. I'm still gonna keep it and use it but it sucks that the drop control does not work on mine. I like the in-line over my spin reel. I was having all sorts of issues with using my spin reel. Thanks for the video. It's how I figured out mine is defective.
I'm thinking about mounting one of these to my compound fishing bow . I'll have to cut it right after the first eye . Do you know how many feet of 100 lb line will fit on it ?
@@MidwestBassHunter I'm not sure either but as long as you could adjust the weight drop of the arrow the reel would not know the difference in a arrow or bait . Getting it adjust so it slowly drops to the ground is the main thing . With a bigger line like 100 lb there would be no back lash because of the weight of the line . The bigger the line you have on a bait caster the less it will backlash at freer settings . That's why you have to set your breaks to all most nothing when you put bigger line on a bait caster . Its only backlashing because smaller line is so light the bearings just keep spinning ,they don't spin so much when the spool is filled with something heavy . I don't think I would need more than 100 feet of 100 lb line . Do you think it would hold that ?
Tell me what you think of this reel and what is your favorite ice fishing reel?

Thanks a lot for watching the vid, glad I could be helpful, I’m heading out tomorrow to, good luck!

Totally agree, love these in lines, I like your idea on the dead stick, maybe I’ll get another and try that out. Thanks for watching!
Just received mine, nice review, thanks for walking me through my new reel, speed up my learning curve.
You bet, it’s a good reel especially considering the low price. I’m sure you’ll like it.
Good stuff man. I grabbed the free fall from 13 and have like it. Granted, haven't tested against big fish but love not dealing with line twist.
The no line twist is the biggest selling point for me. But overall I am pleased with it.

It’s a pretty good reel and decent price. No complaints from me.
I just recently started using an inline and like it a bunch.
Nice review I might have to pick one of those up!
Thanks for watching, for the price this reel is a pretty good deal in my opinion!
Good review - clear and to the point. Thanks.
Thanks for checking out my review.
I saw that thing at Scheels and boy oh boy did it look good!
Seems pretty good so far
Interesting reel!!
thanks for watching
Great video!
Thanks Ethan P.
Great info. I found one in the road.
Score!

Hope you got a new one!
@MidwestBassHunter sure did and I love it. Just gotta be careful to not let it out too fast though or I end up with a tangled mess. Great reel.
That is a cool reel!
thanks for watching
Your intro scared me.... thought I was gonna get a eye poked out! Lol
Sorry my friend, I am glad you are safe…
Nice rod'n reel
Thanks
My break is not working on this reel
Uh oh, did you get them to give you a new one or something?
Are you able to switch the reel to the left side
You cannot, they sell lefts and rights though.
I'm thinking about mounting one of these to my compound fishing bow . I'll have to cut it right after the first eye . Do you know how many feet of 100 lb line will fit on it ?
Not sure how much line, probably plenty, however, I don’t believe that it would work for that. It would immediately backlash big time when you shoot.

steve dental it would probably hold 100 feet, and even if it doesn’t work you ain’t out much, pretty inexpensive reel.
@@MidwestBassHunter Right . I think its worth a try
Don't do it
What rod did you use for the 2nd walleye?
Same rod, a Scheels dead stick
@@MidwestBassHunter thanks!
Just bought two
Nice! I think you’ll like them.
Great vid thanks
You bet, thanks for watching!
What handed reel is that
Mine is right hand retrieve but you can get them either or.
@@MidwestBassHunter ok thanks I've been looking for a rell and this one seems nice quality and affordable
It has worked good for me and the price is very reasonable. Good luck!
