    Mahalo for watching! Get 10% off whale watching and snorkeling using promo code HVG at checkout with Ultimate Whale Watch & Snorkel rafting. Use HVG10 with Sail Maui to get 10% off. The codes are good for the 2022 whale season!

    GReat tips guys! A great list! I was in Maui in February and I doubled the boat trips- I would go out on a dive boat and whale watch while heading out and back from dive sites. The sittings were incredible. Best sighting was while diving near Molokai, i had a whale about 100 feet away from me Jane it was singing. A truly remarkable experience! Great channel, I am recommending it to many people I know who want to know more about Hawaii and visiting.

    Thank you for all of the great information and videos. I'm taking my mom to see the ocean for the first time this February! I was looking to book the whale watching tour with less people (2 hour VIP) but looks like the 10% code doesn't work for this trip? Was hoping to use it and support your videos! Maybe it's not worth paying extra for less people but it says a regular trip can have up to 26 people and that seems like a lot of a zodiac raft. Any thoughts?

    You guys are so awesome. We have a similar size family, with a 2.5 year old boy and another due in July! We just returned from our 3rd trip to Maui (5th to Hawaii total), last week, and we're strongly considering moving to Maui this fall. It would likely only be a 6-12 month stay, though who knows where that will lead.
    I don't see any of your videos talk about where to live as a native mainlander. Could you please either do a video on that or share some tips? I would really appreciate it. Right now our thoughts are somewhere in the Kihei or Lahaina areas. Thanks for all your videos!

    Really enjoying your videos. We are planning to go to Maui in December with a 2 year old, thinking of the trilogy and a sunset cruise for whale watching, do you think this would be enjoyable? too chilly? choppy water? or should we just plan to do an 8 am whale watching tour? what do you you suggest?

    • @TheHawaiiVacationGuide
      @TheHawaiiVacationGuide  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should expect temps in the 80s for sunset in December, even on the water. Bring a light jacket if concerned but we haven't felt cold. The channel is calm for sunset as not much trade winds in front of Lahaina. Trilogy is great but so is Sail Maui with our 10% promo code, if you are interested, HVG10 at checkout!

      As our Maui Mayor Victorino says, "I tell you right now, as far as I’m concerned if you can’t obey our rules, don’t come if you can’t wear a mask or do what is right.” A mask is required in public. One can take off their mask when social distancing at the beach.

    Hiya! My boyfriend and I love your Chanel and we are looking forward to going to Maui. However We’ve seen a lot of stuff going on in the news lately regarding the vaccine. Hawaii is said to be starting the vaccine passport? If we don’t get vaccinated can we still go with our negative Covid test results?? And would we be able to enter places?

    • @SteveBoyer10
      @SteveBoyer10 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is our concern as well, as we don't intend to receive the vaccine. We actually just returned from Maui a week ago and the test process was quite easy. I'm hoping they keep offering the test option for those who can't or don't want to receive the vaccine.
      Also, this probably won't answer your question fully, but we had to show our test results 3 times total during our weeklong stay: getting off the plane in Maui (direct from LAX), getting in the car rental shuttle (didn't rent from a company at the airport), and to check in at our condo hotel. After that nobody cared. We didn't spend much time indoors because Maui, but I can't think of a place that would ask for your test results/vaccine record.
      Also, people are much more strict on masks back home (for us, SLC Utah) than they were out there in Hawaii. Yes people wore masks, but on the beach almost nobody was, and at the pool at the hotel, almost nobody was. It was so refreshing.

    • @TheHawaiiVacationGuide
      @TheHawaiiVacationGuide  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The lt gov is working on a vaccine passport and hoping to start in may. No update has been given in a couple of months. They will continue with the pre-testing program for the foreseeable future. The islands aren’t expected to be vaccinated till Labor Day. That is the goal.
