Hi Freeman Diaz - yes, shoulder check, shoulder check, shoulder check - always ensure that there is a safe place to move into my friend. All the very best, Cheers Rick
Thank you so much for posting this video! We had a nightmare returning one there about a year ago and were very anxious about not repeating that disaster again. Your directions and freeze frames made returning ours this time easy-peasy! Muchas Gracias!!!!!!
A wonderfully helpful video for returning a rental car to the Madrid airport. Would have been even more helpful to have more footage of the road signs, but a very helpful video as is.
@@smartdrivetest Gotten off route many times before. Yes, just go with the flow and correct later. Making sudden, desperate moves to avoid missing a turn can result in an accident.
@@robertdennis3892 - you are "oh so correct" my friend. It's so much easier now with the GPS re-routing you when you get off the route. Wishing you all the very best, Cheers Rick
Have an awesome time my friend. Ask the rental agency to put the GPS in English for you. See these vids too: th-cam.com/video/oYiHRxWOSfQ/w-d-xo.html Have an awesome trip. Cheers Rick
Hey Rick, unsure if you've got a video on this, if you do I'd love to be pointed in the direction of that. Around my area we have a lot of three or four lane roads with speed limits upwards of 45 mph. Anyways, on these roads and on the road test I'm curious if I'm still needed to move all the way over to the right in the case of a left turn. It feels very unnecessary to be making all those lane changes but I have no clue. Thanks for all the videos, they're a great help, cheers.
Hi there - can you reword your question. I'm not sure what you mean by "...all the way over to the right in the case of a left turn." Best, Cheers Rick
@@smartdrivetest Of course. I guess I would be meaning that, would I have to move over to the right-most lane? So from left-most to right-most on those four lane roadways. Thanks, if this isn't clear, my apologies.
Did fine, as you said in Madrid. Now doing it again at Ben Gurion in Israel. Driving in Israel is similar to Spain, except that in Spain, I had the advantage of being a fluent Spanish speaker.
That shoulder check is legendary!

Never seen Rick so frustrated!
It was indeed a bit frustrating my friend. You just can't control the traffic and have to give it up to avoid a crash. All the best, Cheers Rick

thank you very much that you give me an idea good to know there is an english GPS
It will make your journey a lot easier my friend. There were times I couldn't follow the Spanish GPS instructions. All the best, Cheers Rick

That's me trying to go on the highway. It's so scary, but you made me feel like I can do it! Thanks.
Hi Kiab Lis - you are most welcome my friend. Drop us a note if we can help further my friend. All the best, Cheers Rick
Don’t panic. Be calm and think.
Hi, can you do a video of driving with a fork in the road where it splits in different directions if that makes sense, thank you.
Do you have a location you can send me so I can have a look? Thanks, Cheers Rick
Doing this day after tomorrow, at Madrid, 5am....in the dark. Hope I can find the key drop box.
You're going to do just fine my friend. Follow the signs. All the very best. Godspeed. Cheers Rick

Great video again this week
Glad you enjoyed it!! All the very best, Cheers Rick

This made me realize for road trips and any domestic driving after I get my license, at least everything’s in English!
Yes, and that you have to follow the directions of the GPS and navigate safely so that you don't drive into other traffic. All the best, Cheers Rick
I'd be lost regardless! 😄
Hi Janet - yes, it was a bit challenging with the GPS in Spanish. Next time I'll ask the staff to change it into English. All the best, Cheers RIck
You’re the most Canadian Canadian on TH-cam.
Why’s that my friend? Cheers Rick
Stay in Canada or the United States, that way you don’t get frustrated with other countries.
This is why I stay in the United States.
Hahahha
Happy to amuse my friend. All the best, Cheers Rick
