    The storage space in the porthole windows is a great space for my cat to chill out in. I rented one of these not too long ago and took the cat with me and he loved that spot. I set it up with a bed in there and toys and treats and he spent most of his time there looking out the window 😊

    I‘ve got one and I love it love it love it. Don‘t store your bikes on the back but on the drawbar!

    It’s a super nice piece of kit. I toured one recently, a Boondock model with the upgraded solar package. It’s on my list for consideration.

    These are our favorite little trailers! Great design, slightly different from our USA models. Great video!

      Thank you 😊 yes the Nucamp Tab has moved quite far away from the German model now, but they seem very popular!

    Oooooo, that’s a shocking admission, you’d buy this over the La Mancelle! I’m writing that down in the book of things I never thought I’d hear…! thanks for showing us around this one, think I’ve only ever been in a Mexican sunset one! Excellent, detailed tour and I’m happy to confirm no issues at all in 6 years with no built in oven/grill. I do carry a multi cooker in winter, which does both slow cooking or air frying, but in the summer it’s cadac outside all the way. Other Eriba owners with no oven use the Omnia stove top oven or the mains powered remoska. Each of those gadgets takes up far less room than a built in caravan gas oven does :) Excellent tour, thanks.

      Thanks Becky, I’m about to watch your video too, I was late home from work and missed my own premiere 😂 I’m saddened by the price of the La Mancelle in the UK, the Liberty is competing with the Bailey Alicanto Grande range at its price point, I’ll be surprised if they even sell one, especially given the absolutely zero marketing it’s received. It’s a great shame. I’ve always loved these Tab 400 models, I wanted one for my first caravan but couldn’t afford the finance at the time - how I wish now that I’d have bought it at the £14,000 it was originally!! No oven doesn’t bother me either, we have no oven in the Sprite 400 and I can’t say I’ve missed it 🤷🏻‍♀️

      @@NotAnotherWhiteBox oh no, missed your own premiere!!! :( And woah, hurm, that Liberty is stunning, but if someone is sitting down to compare like for like at that price point they’d have to really hate conventional white boxes or British made anything… I seriously wanted a 400 too, I looked properly at a couple, but in the end I couldn’t figure out where to put the kids, we just needed a bit more space and the seating in ours works easily for 3, just about for 4, although we have got 2 families of 4 inside in a monsoon before (Mike & I sitting on the back bed, other 2 adults and 4 (young at the time) boys around the front dinette playing monopoly! PS I’ll tag you a light fitting photo tomorrow, you’ll giggle ;-)

    The lamp above the dining table is still very much a feature of German culture, not only in caravans, but in nearly every German home. I lived there for nearly 40 years.

    Superb review and if I had not just purchased a campervan, I would seriously consider one.

    And somehow I too really like the simple, non - fussy steel wheels. Anything different just wouldn't look cool 😉

    • @NotAnotherWhiteBox
      @NotAnotherWhiteBox  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do as well, the alloy wheel option on these isn’t particularly great. Somehow the steel wheels suit it perfectly.

    Is the oven thing just because of the British weather, while the rest of the continent is out barbequing We're stuck inside with a dodgy tv picture and the rain beating off the roof longing for hot food😁😁
    Love the curves and design of this 'van. They've come a long way from my 1960 'sprite .
    Hate to think what these cost new though. ?
    Our house cost less than 20k 15 years ago.
    Ones husband and I have only recently found your
    fantastic channel you just appeared in my feed one day we've been binge watching .
    Oh an ignore the "ones husband" bit .
    He's a barber I drive a council bin lorry .
    Were not a bit posh.
    Cheers from Ireland . Mitch and Ed.

      Yes I joined the NuCamp group on Facebook and can’t believe how different the US version is! Especially considering how originally North America got the exported German version of it on a full European chassis with surge brakes

    Great video Cameron, on what is a small yet perfectly designed caravan. Loved the fantastic bathroom, fixed bed, capacious wardrobe and a great kitchen. Also looks like a really well made van. I’ve had an Eriba Troll in the same layout, but the T&B looks to be more practical due to its fixed roof profile (rather than pop top). Really well presented. Many thanks and look forward to your next review

    • @NotAnotherWhiteBox
      @NotAnotherWhiteBox  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the kind words Tony; yes it’s a great alternative to the Eriba but I’d bet that it tows just as well. The extra headroom makes all the difference inside, it’s a much more usable caravan

      It’s funny how they originally started out the same and now the US produced model has been redeveloped independently of the original German design

    What’s the floor made from? Will it rot out, like the Bailey Pegasus vans??

    • @NotAnotherWhiteBox
      @NotAnotherWhiteBox  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would guess that it’s also made from wood. European caravans are almost always built in a traditional way, but never seem to leak. I think they’ve just perfected quality control and attention to detail. Bailey floors generally don’t rot since they changed the corner join design around 2018, it’s only the older Alutec designs that are prone to it.

    I will never understand why caravan builders never put towel racks inside the bathroom. In fact, I don't think they ever put racks anywhere 🤔

    Why do we need 3 gas hobs ? TBh in this one is enough. Id just love thetford to design a twin hob. 1 gas 1 induction.

    I wish the US version's bathroom was like this. The US version is pretty soulless being most white plastic.

    To be clear, trailers/caravans of this shape have not been around for 50 years - they have been around for nearly 100 years, having originated in America in the mid-1930s.
