      Hi, TJ! Thank you, I'm ok...it was a little rough for awhile but I'm fully recovered now. Yeah, I'm very lucky to have a buddy like Digger, he's a good boy.
      It was great to sit by a campfire again, there is something very primal about it and a beautiful sunrise is very soothing for the soul.

    Hi Frank. What a great camp. Nice open and long range views are good for the soul! Relaxing fire, good food and good company in the form of your boy, Digger. Can’t ask for much more. Hope your move went smoothly and I’m glad to see you are feeling better. I have missed my Sunday mornings with The Camping Portal and am glad to see you back. 😎

    Wonderful video! I remembered you saying you were moving house and we wouldn’t see for a bit but really sucks you came down with Covid too! Hope your health has returned! Digger, like my dog, will play tug all day if you want to keep it up. See you next time!

      Thanks, Chris! I’m mostly recovered but still have some fatigue. Yeah, it was tough moving house with covid…character building stuff! Lol

Saludos a Digger!!!

      Thank you! Glad your still tuning in!…I lost quite a few subscribers over the last weeks. I still have a bit of fatigue but I’m well enough to get back out there. Digger was happy to be out of the house…he hasn’t had much exercise lately…while sick I missed a few of our daily hour walks and play. We went for 2hrs today…he’s spent the rest of the day curled up on the couch! Lol

      Hi, Jill! It’s good to be back. Being in nature again made me feel a whole lot better.
      I love reading while camping, especially about nature, philosophy, etc too many distractions at home. Relaxing by a campfire with a good book is very peaceful.

      Hi, Inga
      Sorry I've been away for a few weeks, I was sick with covid.
      We we're in a State logging forest. I found a spot recently cleared, giving me some nice views and plenty of sun out of the shade of the forest. The ground was a bit churned up from the logging trucks and machines but I managed to find a small flat spot to pitch the tent.
      See you next week!

    During your camping experience have you ever seen anything like monster or something else

    • @4X4CA
      @4X4CA  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my very first video a big Goanna crept up behind me to try and get into my food storage! That gave me a fright! When they are that close they seem like a monster! They have big claws and sharp teeth.
      I’ve seen a few snakes, including Red Bellies and Brown snakes…both are in the top 10 most venomous snakes in the world.
      But no Yeti’s…yet 😎

    So Mr portal why do some people put their camp fire so far away from them it don't make sense

    • @4X4CA
      @4X4CA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Mavis! Not sure what you mean. I was sat right next to the fire…had to move back a few times as it was too hot!
      Do you mean from the tent?? I wouldn’t want the wind to blow hot embers onto the tent and start a fire. Another reason to have it away, is so the tent doesn’t get filled with smoke.
      I hope I answered the question you were asking 👍

    Hello 👋, may l know more details about this tent that u using, l love to get one this tent. Hope to hear from you. Tks 😊

    • @4X4CA

      Hi, I liked this tent very much. It sets up very quickly and is built from quality materials. They are popular with those who like to do quick overnight stops. It is large when packed up, most owners have to carry it on the roof as its too long to pack inside most vehicles. There isn't much headroom, the roof slopes down from the front to rear of the tent. Oztent make several sizes, so check which orientation you'd prefer to sleep in before deciding which is the right one for you. Keep in mind that as the roof slopes all the way to the ground, useable floor space is reduced dramatically. I would definitely see one in person before deciding which size is suitable for you. Mine was the RV3 (medium-large size)
      I recommend this tent for its quality build and ease of set up. The other features, or lack of, depend on your particular intended use.
      I hope that helps. Let me know if there is anything else you'd like to know 👍
