Personally, I loved this entire album. It REALLY showcased Noahs talent as a vocalist and songwriter.
Agreed 100%
He’s a God
I think the people disappointed in this album are those who really just like the heavy side of Bad Omens. Noah’s voice is too good to have a full album of nothing but Dethrone style vocals. I love the heavy stuff, but I can’t see me listening over and over to an album that’s just all heavy. I love the variety on this one and I wouldn’t consider any song filler or a throwaway.
Everyone is entitled to like what they like, I’m not dismissing the people who would have preferred a heavier album. I think though that if they lose some fans over this one, they’ll gain many more in the long run.
I feel that it’s very weird that there is just one heavy song in this 15 track album. I would expect there to be one or two more new heavy songs. This coming from someone who really likes Bad Omens new direction. It just very off putting to just have one heavy song in the album that has been released as a single to tease the album. Maybe if they didn’t release artificial suicide to tease the album, maybe a lot of people would not feel this way.
@@RUNTY_OW I agree! Despite the fact that I love this album I do wish there was a couple more heavy songs. That being said I do appreciate how Noah was able to really show case his vocals in this album.
I'm dismissing them lol
Noah's vocal improvement is what this band needed to match their stylistic change. Happy with this album for sure :)
Literally just found this band, and what an entrance!! Album is absolutely a candidate for album of the year......until Ghost drops next month ;)
This album caught my eye when I heard Just Pretend and Take Me First. Then after hearing the rest, I fell in love with this band. It has elements of BMTH in some songs, and then elements of PVRIS in others, yet still so unique and all their own sound. So dang good.
For most fans, similar to Linkin park , this album is such a big change it doesn’t meet your immediate expectations of what you thought it would be . But once you get past the initial shock you will get used to it. With that being said, I absolutely love this album and the change. They really grew into their own brand stoked fir these guys! Thanks for the review !
Its like lot of artists in one album but with the taste of bad omens, the neighbourhood, the weeknd, korn, shttt, just a masterpiece
I love the album man
Love the electronic effect in this album
They could almost split it into 4 different albums. 4 different styles. You have Metalcore, a Nothing more sound that really showcases his range, a new pop rock sound and the electronic almost Nine Inch Nails style. The are great at all 4. However, "Like a Villian" really showcases his range and I feel they could make it the biggest with this sound. This album is almost like a mastered first release where they are trying to see which direction fans will like most and run with that style.
Favor album of the year for me. Calling it in March because I enjoy this album so much.
I usually don't like smooth/relax/slow tracks in an album.. like track 10 and 11 are still to this day the ones I skip the most often (hard for me to be happy with two slow track one after the other), but bad decision for some reason was great even at the first listen, love the vibe, the chorus especially. The album has since grown in it and I really like it! Just Pretend was a big surprise! .. and The Grey.. loved it when released as a single and since a few days, its like.. WOW dude this song is so freaking perfect, chorus is insane!
Just Pretend chorus hits soooo hard
CONCRETE JUNGLE's my favorite, imo. Still letting the other non-singles grow on me. Cheers dude
My favorite non singles are just pretend and nowhere to go
Just pretend hits me right in the fucking feels.
At first I thought it was only okay, but the more I’ve listened the better it gets. I love this album so much, truly there best work.
HOW DID I WRIGHT THIS 2 WEEKS AGO I SWEAR I WROTE THIS YESTERDAY. It’s still getting better!
bro wtf ☠️
So good how you stream the entire albums
Really good. Nothing hits as hard as dethrone but that song slaps so its hard to beat
Every time he sounds like The Weeknd I get goosebumps that’s a good thing two best singers
This album was insane, I'm so happy it finally came out
This album is a masterpiece.
I gave it 4 listens back to back last night lol
And I think imo that in my taste there are songs on the album like nowhere to go and miracle that some of their best but certain songs sound somewhat generic
I kinda liked the songs, I wish there were 2 more heavy tracks. Miracle and Just Pretend are my fav.
I already know that it wont be my AOTY tho.
It didnt live up to the hype. Im dissapointed. Maybe it will grow on me, idk
Cant wait for the new Miss May I album :)
To me this is their best album because there is no song that I don’t like. There are songs that I feel should have been heavier but overall it’s a great album. Their second best album is FGBGFM because there are a couple songs that I genuinely don’t like but all the other songs I absolutely love. I would love their first album if he had the same vocals he has now. The songs are great but the problem is that I don’t like his screaming and it has taken a long time for to get used to them. The songs on the first album sound much better live than they do in the studio version. I can now listen to the songs and enjoy it but it should not be work to try and enjoy a song.
Please do not base your opinions on other people's opinions. Just be you. Your opinions matter.
Great album. Although i wish it had a bit more songs like Artificial Suicide.
Allegaeon - DAMNUM album reaction pretty please? It is already aoty contender for me
Was missing the Heavy side… 😢 but still wish them the best with everything
Bro where do you live? Do you ever sleep? I’m literally just previewing the songs now. No time to get to the album until hopefully this weekend 😂
Man is on the TH-cam GRIND 🤘🤘
I really like the album, wish more of the tracks had heavy moments like what do you want from me. Sorta like a heavy pop vibe instead of full electronic songs yk
Beside the singles...im speechless. What happened here? Im always scared, if an album has more than 10 tracks with the same length. Especially in metalcore. And here, we have at least 70% filler tracks. Im in love with the titel track, but i dont want this track six more times on an album.
Did you really listen to it? Dude, the album has so much variety.
@@claudiorafael1339 yep i did. Dont worry, i will listen to it again, but first impression was very dissapointing for me.
I feel the same way
Gargantuan L take.
The only somewhat heavy song on the entire album is AS ):
If they brought it down to 10 tracks and picked the decent ones, this would've been solid. A 15-song album is bound to have fillers. Love the singles but the rest kinda ruined the whole album experience for me.
In my opinion, in addition to the four singles already released, there are at least 6 other phenomenal tracks. Has an intro track for Like a Villain and 4 other songs with a more pop/electronic feel, which are pretty decent.
The final balance is very positive, I would give a 9/10 for the set.
Gotta be honest, I only like about 5 songs on this album, and most of those are the singles
This album bored me out. Despite the inconsistency on this thing it's too bloated with 15 tracks. I like that they're experimenting, but it doesn't feel cohesive at all on album length
????
CONCRETE JUNGLE, Just Pretend and the singles are my favorites, but i'm not happy with the rest of the album :(
Best álbum the year !!!!!.......
I think this album is disappointing in my eyes. At times it feels lifeless, and I am someone who truly likes innovation in music.
can i ask why? im not dissing your opinion cuz even ill admit its a really inconsistent album but at no time would i personally call it lifeless. im just curious
@@artistrankings6794 I believe that inconsistent is not the word, because the band was really looking for that more experimental air. Maybe it's an album that fluctuates a lot in frequency, but not that it's a bad thing in my opinion.
I felt that the band, really manages to deliver new things with perfection
@@claudiorafael1339 I think everyone is getting me wrong here. I really do like this album a lot, it’s their best by a landslide. I think almost every song except bad decisions is at least good. I understand inconsistent and experimental are two different things, but I still think inconsistent applies here. I think they kinda just tried a lot of new things on here so the album isn’t cohesive, it’s a bunch of random ideas (which I still think are really good!) I just think that the best way to listen to this is on shuffle in a playlist, not a front to back experience, you know what I mean?
@@artistrankings6794 granted it's only their 3rd album. I think this targets the same audience that like Dayseeker targets. Good way to expand their spectrum
I think if you condensed this album down to its best 10-11 tracks, it could be considered AOTY. Unfortunately, there are a few throw away tracks that are simple beats along with monotone vocals. Nothing of much interest
really disappointed and letdown by this album, it isn't worth the hype in my opinion everyone was talking about, it isn't metalcore.
Not even that it’s just unimpressive
@@gamingrunnerProductions too long for no reason, too many interludes for no reason.
Ah yes, no metalcore = bad
@@filnin i didn't say that. i didn't say that metalcore is bad, i said the album isn't my taste of metalcore.
@@visa.. i don't think that it's even metalcore, more like industrial
Suuuuuper weak Album. They fired all their Shots with the singles. The Album feels very repetitiv and mainstreamy.
They shouldve done more Songs like artificial suicide. Noahs heavy vocals are so intense, but the Lack of his harsh vocals is missing left right and Center.
Feelsbadman, I was super hyped for the Album...oh well.
Same feeling, agree
It’s called experimenting
Bad Omens has never been a heavy band, they have few aggressive songs and despite being amazing, their best tracks are the light ones.
@@claudiorafael1339 actually their best tracks are the heavy ones :)
@@claudiorafael1339 ok you don’t hear them for so long I see, yes they mixed always everything but pls hear the recent albums mate:)
Man these guys are average, don’t see the appeal
His vocal range is matched by few in the industry. You have to respect his vocal versitility.
@@nickbaker621 Metal heads are some of the worst critics out there man. If everything is not like Dethrone it’s not good. Doesn’t matter how insane his voice is, it’s bad if he isn’t screaming all the time.
