ZeRo’s Little Mac is actually insane 😭 He should probably use Mac’s counter for getting back to stage more often tho, not only does it cover the edge guard, but it also has good horizontal launch distance so it can help mac make it back when he normally wouldn’t be able to. Even past recovery it’s a great option if you can read the right move (which ZeRo is clearly good at)

The only problem with counter is that it has large end lag and is exploitable, and counter off of ledge becomes a habit kinda fast

Every time ZeRo plays Mac im like "ay Mac isnt that bad" then he gets knocked a centimetre off stage and cant recover which reminds me why he is the worst...
the players good not the charchter
Ive been a mac main for about 8 months now, and after a while you kinda get used to using mac's recovery. You learn how to use it and you get into the right mindset. ZeRo's not there yet, but he'll get to that point sooner or later.
Pure fundamentals can take any character far. That's why players like zero and mkleo can seem to make any character look "top tier", and the reason why they are the best in their respective games.
@@iyaguex Even if you do learn how to recover with Little Mac, Unfortunately his recovery is still one of the worst. And sadly I don't ever see them ever buffing his recovery simply because they more focus on their casual player player base and in casual play Little Mac is super good simply because he can throw out so many smash attacks so quickly and the casual player isn't really aware of their options to avoid the attacks effectively.
Zero is horrible at recovering with Mac. Majority of the deaths where he gets gimped right near ledge were because he won't hold onto his double jump and just immediately burns it out of hitstun and because he tries double jumping straight onto stage. Doesn't know he can snap ledge with side b, go low with up b, even just fucking airdodge to ledge ffs. I've been in these exact same scenarios, he can recover but doesn't know what he's doing because he's playing this character solely to milk him for views.
ZeRo is the same guy that says they're "okay" at the game and absolutely wrecks a pro with Little Mac.
I respect his humbleness, but you gotta give yourself more credit my guy

@@samoansilverback411 I think that Zero is less boastful than he is extremely competitive. Unfortunately I think these two things can struggle to coexist, and especially during more of his in person tournament play you could see his competitive side really come out. That being said, never has this felt particularly rude to me, just getting caught up in the heat of the match, and everything else coming from him seems fun and down to earth especially with how great of a liaison he is for the smash community.
@@glad_wow It’s called joking around bro. It’s all in good fun. You can obviously see they’re both having fun. And yes, Zero is a humble guy. He’s happy when he wins and he takes his losses with grace, never complaining. Zero is not insecure about his skill nor should he. He worked hard to achieve what he has and he should be proud of that.

With this extreme level of Little Mac play, Zero should have picked him against Tweek in the Quarantine tournament. Would have progressed further in the tournament since Zero's Little Mac always does well against pro players!

Gintoki It takes one throw. One launching attack. One shield on most of his attacks. And he’s off stage. And unless he side b’s or reads you with counter he’s dead. If you see people ledge camp him in tourneys you’ll see why he’s the worst.

Pros are supposed to be Pros, and here a Lucina is struggling with the worst character.
I'm liking the love for Little Mac; I always thought he was one of the most fun characters to play. 4:55 is a perfect example of why Little Mac is considered competitively unviable, but it kind of bugs me when some pros get a bit overly opinionated (the curse of being very skilled) and just write him off as "trash" without acknowledging his strengths. Super fast movement and attack speed, impressive KO power, and (even though he's considered "the worst") literally NO ONE wants to mess with a Little Mac on the ground with a full K.O. Punch meter (6:35).
Don't get me wrong, his strengths are excellent and I agree with every point you list ; but he has too much weakness to be consistent in a pro play. He can be camped with projectiles, has a bad disadvantage, struggle to land, struggle to recover. His biggest weakness being that he can be camped with platforms by every character in the game.
I mean I like Little Mac, but that's a bad idea to main him if you want to be the best at the game, thus being trash for a pro player. Keep in mind, that the tier list of a pro player makes sense mostly for pro players playing against other pro players. Mid level and low level has not the same meta.
Seeing ZeRo giving some love for Little Mac is still very nice
In tournament when they see lil Mac they have half a roster to destroy him. Yeah zero is winning but remmeber this is friendly matches. In tournament they will destroy zero, but since this is just for goofs and laughs their guard is responsibly down.

I love how everyone just apes pro players saying little mac is garbage tier and the worst character in the game, and while it is true that Mac has glaring weaknesses which make him pretty bad in physical tournaments, You can't come and tell me that Mac is bad in online. He definitely is one hell of a character and a pain to deal with. The sheer fact hat you have to fight and risk losing to a Mac already puts tons of pressure on you. On top of that, There is close to 50% chance that you're going to play on FD online which is the best possible stage for Mac. He might be F tier in tournaments, but that character is a real pain in a laggy environment

3:50 - when you're that far out, Side-B first. It ends lower than double jump and you can't act out of it. Double jump:
- has hella distance
- you can Down-B aggression
- (on Yoshi's at the height you were) you can Neutral-B stale moves and directional air dodge cancel OR neutral airdodge cancel then wall jump (because he has the best in the game)
Mac and Ganon require a few good reads to truly mess someone up mentally AND physically. I think that's why you're good at them.
Aaaaalways Nair RIGHT before Up-B to get max distance (you get warped forward by a character length).

Hey ZeRo I'm a little mac main. One thing that's really helpful for recovery is counter. At 4:55, if you had countered you would've lived that edgeguard and probably dealt 20% to him in return. If you counter when you're level with the ledge, you can still recover. Just something that could help.

This video showcases that Ultimate is the most insanely balanced fighter I've ever played. There are still tiers; while I love them I'd never pick my boys Incineroar or DeDeDe with money on the line because their weaknesses can make performance inconsistent at times. But that being said, it's crazy that EVERY character has some fun overpowered jank you can use. Whenever I play in local friendlies and someone picks a character I don't often see, I know I'm about to get introduced to some cool tech or secretly overpowered thing that I didn't know. It really makes investing in non-high tier characters feel rewarding because you always have a chance if someone is unfamiliar with the matchup.
