Hello, same experience, but I have a solution try to uninstall the messenger app and install it again. After you log in, there is a message will appear about the missing chat then pick recover and enter your MPIN, so finally, THE MESSAGES WILL BE BACK.

I put the same exact PIN (I had it written), and now the cellphone only has 2 chats from 2018. No way to reestablish all the other chats. The encryption is on. I located a contact searching for his name, sent a message, it doesn't show in the only device where Messenger is still working, another cellphone. The computer takes too long, sometimes doesn't charge all the messages. So, that thing simply decides stop working, and there is no way to recover anything. The options in this video do not exist.

I believe I saw somewhere there was an option to reset your PIN. Maybe there’s a TH-cam video on it but my problem is I never had a PIN- at least not to my knowledge and just lost my messages randomly. I was using Messenger on my phone and can’t seem to get them back without a PIN though and I can’t find an option that lets me create one.

This doesn’t work, the messages are encrypted. You have to login facebook using windows computer to access encrypted messages

was deleted chats recovered back to your messenger?
Yeah but the removed/unsent messages wasn't included, just the chats that has been removed by the end to end encryption.
