What a lovely table! I have much appreciation for older Americana items. I have an amf table myself, not the greatest, but table requirements are…dead level, real slates, correct bumpers, and great cloth. That’s a real awesome solution to your shop needs and a9 foot working table is a must!

This table plays really well, and I have Simonis cloth on it.

This was just built to fit, so I don't have plans. It's pretty simple. 3/4 inch oak plywood banded by 3/4×1.5 inch oak. I used oak splines to connect the edge to the plywood. I used 2 inch rigid foam on the back of the plywood panel to hold the panel off the table bed. It's worked well for 20 years.

I recently thought of this but I couldn't think of a way to support the deck. I was afraid wood would damage the felt. Your insulation idea is great! Thanks!

You are welcome, and it has stood the test of time.

@salem woodworks do you have diagram/plans for this table top?

No. I made it years ago, custom measured to my table. It's made from 3 sheets of 3/4" oak plywood edges with 3/4" x 1" oak strips which I joined to the plywood with splines. There are metal clips like you see in dining table leaves to align the sections.

@@SalemWoodworksHi there! I want to make one for my 7ft table, could you do two sheets instead of three to connect and would you put connection attachments on both ends? Thank you in advance! :)
