Another great Mopar you shared Lou… Brings back memories. Although these Chargers didn’t sell in as many numbers as Cordoba they were special in their own right. I had a friend back in the day who owned a solid white 77 Charger SE with white leather buckets and console fully loaded.
I like the styling on it, too. The two tone paint and its placement really draws the eyes to the car's lines, and the interior is fantastic. Thanks for finding and sharing Mr. & Mrs. Cassavar and their '77 Charger with us, Lou!

Another unique orphan car. I bought one of these 20 years ago for $200. It had a rod knock and drove it 5 miles home. 400, 4 barrel, buckets, console, am fm, air, tilt, and cruise. It was two tone yellow with tan interior, which wasn't nearly as nice as the one featured. It wasn't worth restoring, so I sold some parts off it. Two outlaws from new jersey came all the way to northern minnesota and bought the rest of the car. I couldn't believe it

I had forgotten about these - very cool! I Remember the Charger but had forgotten about the Daytona. Great Car Story- not many one owner of these around. Thanks Lou!
Hi Jeff, Easy to understand why you might have forgotten these as you rarely see one on the road today. My pleasure sharing this car with you. You're welcome, Lou
Hi, Lou! Well, I think this is another one of those "and now for something completely different" episodes, LOL! Of course, that just goes to show how wise Bruce and Linda were to keep this car kicking around for all of its 47 years. I remember as a kid seeing the TV commercials for these Chargers that said, "Once you've looked, you're hooked." Obviously, they were, and still are, and so was Linda's mom! These Chargers were nearly identical to the Chrysler Cordoba, just with a different grille and taillights, but although luxurious you couldn't get the fine Corinthian leather and far more people preferred the Cordoba, as they desired something more prestigious. At least the Daytona stood out in its own way with that very distinctive two-tone paint treatment. In 1978, Dodge, after building a handful of Chargers, replaced it with the Magnum XE, which got a different face with glass-covered headlamps to make it much easier to tell apart from the Cordoba. The three of you have given us a very interesting ride with this gem! Many thanks to all of you for presenting it to us!
Hi iswc27, I like to keep the Viewers guessing what might be next. You're right, looks like a Cordoba. My pleasure sharing this "gem" with you. You're welcome, Lou P.S. Here is that Magnum :-) th-cam.com/video/isrAXkca_jI/w-d-xo.html
Another super rare Charger from Lou. Thanks for sharing. Interesting fact. Richard Petty continued to run his 1973 Charger through the 1977 NASCAR season. Thought it had better aerodynamics.
76 was the last year for tge 400 big block in the b bodies. These are underrated cars. They’re essentially tge same car underneath as tge 71-74 charger/road runner. Being a Daytona it’s a bit rarer than most
Hi Lou, always liked the styling of these cars and it's sister car the Cordoba even though they weren't that quick it was the 70s "malaise" era lol. Thanks for sharing,Chuck.
The silver paint is full of "flop", the range of light to dark reflection. Beautiful, as is the black with silver vinyl interior with the fabric. It makes you want to dress up in a silver spandex jacket for your jet ride. The tri-tone pin striping is wild, too. These were about the last cars to put some excitement on the showroom floor.
Hi Brian, Happy to read "Awesome Classic American Car. Fantastic to see a one owner from new" :-) My pleasure sharing with you. Appreciate the kind words on this video, Lou
Mom had a 78 Magnum new 360 4bbl white with a blue vinyl top quarter window louvers full power leather seats. I caught how he said 25 gallon tank. Mom said that thing was costing 60 dollars a week to drive here in CALIFORNIA SoCal. It was traded in 1984 for a new Jeep cherokee. The worst thing was she traded her 1970 challenger she bought new in for the Magnum. We both have Challenger's now and yes they get about 13 mpg here is SoCal and the gas was almost 7 dollars a gallon last summer.
Hi Thomas, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your Moms car :-) Sounds like you and your Mom are getting "smiles to the gallon" NICE! Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
@loucostabile Lou, it's time to buy a KIA here in CALIFORNIA. I would like something to be able to get over 80 mph on our freeways. I've been looking and testing, lol. Every little car is like a golf cart.
@davidkastin4240 Keep dreaming they have been that way since new. I get better mileage with the 2016 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 leveled on 33" tires and 3.92 rear. It's gets about 15 city it's ez 100 to fill the tank here in CALIFORNIA.
Lou,Ivan J here there’s not a lot to say about Bruce and Linda C’s 77 Dodge Charger but what a really great 😌👍🏾😊 looking 👀 ride and it’s about time to meet people who take care of their cars and they are very few very few indeed. I remember back then you can ask for any and every option you can think🤔💭🧐 of when it came to mind. Fully Equipped, Fully Loaded Fully Powered like 👍🏾 I said every option you could think 🤔💭🧐 of from a 360 4 BBL Big Block, 383 4BBL Big Block, 400 4BBL Big Block or if you really had the need for speed a 440 4BBL Big Block HEMI or MAGNUM. And yes they were still producing for the Plymouth same Power Plant but called Super Commando and for the Chryslers the TNT🧨. I back in the day the politicians did a serious 🧐 mind job on the public as usual and they really took the pleasure out of driving when driving was really fun 🤩 back then. At least you knew what you had and what type of ride and power plant you had under the hood. Call me a Glutton for a punishment or a head case 😊all you want but like I said and I’ll say it again i’ll still choose, pick and take an Antique, Classic or Vintage Ride to whatever they are making besides manufacturing today. Bruce and Linda C Great 😌👍🏾😊 Job on maintaining your ride on day one ☝️1️⃣ when you first bought it. Lou as always good 👍🏾 work and keep those videos coming. Sincerely Yours Truly Ivan I J

@@loucostabile Well, part of it could have been me, I was 18 and irresponsible, but it did have issues that I couldn't have contributed to. Master brake cylinder failed at 45k miles, passenger side power window never worked properly, etc.....
I wouldn't even call that a Dodge charger the platform is a Chrysler Cordoba when they stop building muscle cars and they put so much pollution junk on it!
Hi, If you like this video, please click on SUPER THANKS ❤ with the $ in the middle which is the SUPER THANKS button under the video. Thank you! Lou

I like this era of Mopar, but the most distinctive B body of the 70s was the Dodge Magnum.Either way this is a beauty.Hats off to the owner.
Hi Samuel, Happy to read you enjoy this "beauty" :-) Lou
True. The Magnum was a real head-turner in it's day.

I had a 400 4 Barrel in my 1977 Cordoba😮
I know this was built off a body/chassis first seen in 1962, but like the Cordoba, it's handsome. I love that it has complete gauges!
Hi LoveIsAll, Happy to read "it's handsome" :-) My pleasure sharing this car with you, Lou

What the heck?
Nice car..but no "rich Corinthian leather" seats??
..Ricardo Montalban would be VERY disappointed lol
"Ricardo Montalban would be VERY disappointed" NICE!
Crank windows, no power locks, and a radio delete. It must have been a base model.
I am surprised Chrysler didn’t put a Hemi In this car?
That would have been a nice box to check on the order form :-)
J'ai eu une DODGE Avenger pendant 6 ans en France...
Kinda looks like a Cordoba
I can see why you'd say that.
Oh yea, the struggling days of Chrysler. I doubt that any car had much over a hundred horsepower. Nice survivor.😊

360 was a gas hog and slower then slow ..
