I'm glad you got the AC and heat situation worked out! And getting organized so that you're happy with the space has to be a huge mental relief, as well. It'll be safer, too, from what you describe. Gotta keep yourself in one piece and protect the lungs, etc.

Thanks Mike, and totally agree. The mental aspect of getting a place right is not to be underestimated. 😊

In my last shop, I had the same Wen filter hanging from the ceiling. And insulation/AC. No mouse, though. We moved and I didn't hang the Wen because it's too hot in the new shop (garage) so I just work with the door open and fans. But I think I have a mouse this time around 🐭

Hi Kent. Having set up a workshop before in a different life, the best bit of advise is Insulate your building as best you can at the beginning, especially the roof. Keep rockin.............

      @@craftyoldgit768 absolutely!
I failed to mention that bit (I think I accidentally cut that bit out)
The walls were all insulated over the last few months which culminated in tossing up the plywood paneling. I then hung the plastic under the rafters, not so much as an insulator as a way to sort of reduce the amount of space that needs to be heated/cooled. The insulated garage door was the final piece of the puzzle.

Oh! And we’re waiting on some insurance hijinks that one way or another will result in a roof replacement. Then I’ll take care of that bit of insulating. 😎

Thanks man! So far really loving the new bench, what a change having something designed specifically for guitar-related work.
And yeah, definitely planning on some standardized templates, so stay tuned on that front. 😊
