I agree with some of the other comments. The RTF AeroScout (1.1m) is the best first beginner plane out there. It comes with the transmitter, charger and one battery. I purchased this plane 5 years ago, put it in beginner mode, went to a sports field when no one was around and taught myself to fly. I now own 5 planes and love this hobby. Not bad learning on my own as a 60 something year old pilot. lol. Trust me, this is the first plane to get. Plus, you won’t damage the prop since it is on the back of the wing. I still fly this plane more than my others. Love it!

I have a Habu jet as one of my trainers. It’s amazing!

Next time a propper trainer and maybe a flight simulator.

Depends on who-I would personally never get realflight because I don’t have access to much money, so I started out with a decent cheap trainer. If you have some money to invest in your training, realflight is definitely a valid option. My problem with planes such as the Carbon Cub is their fragility.

When I started to fly..or crash lol
I got a Carl Goldberg kit from an old club member.
High wing trainer that I built, I must have tore the gear off at least
      8 times, lol.
But that was a balsa wood plane made for beginners.
The new foam planes are not strong like the old kits were, but the new planes fly better because they are so much lighter .
I love my real flight evolution it's a good investment for a new RC pilot I think 🤔

@@johnbaker2060I've got a Carl Goldberg Eagle 2 and a bunch of other balsa and foam planes. From my experience, foam planes are way better for beginners, especially if you're flying solo. Foam is a lot more durable than wood because it's lighter, so crashes are less intense. Plus, foam is super easy to fix. Instead of dealing with long, complicated repairs, you can just grab some hot glue and stick the part back on. It's way less stressful and keeps the fun in flying.

I think the regular Aeroscout is at a fine price for hobby grade but I also think something that is UMX would be great, but not the just I mean like The sports cub s2 or the timber

Eachine planes are good when you wanna mess around but they fly completely different then bigger scales and are almost impossible to fly without the gyro fully enabled leaving you stuck in limited gyro controls with other models if you do progress. Xk makes decent planes but their transmitters suck and will ruin the experience of flying the plane but if you switch out the transmiyyer with a decent one then you have a decent plane. I personally started with the eachine corsair and went to the carbon cub s2. Was stuck with gyro for a little more then i hoped because flying with eachine gyro didnt let me experiment with it off because of how horrible it flew without it. Now i fly with as3x on and gyro disaibled and 8 am going to a proper transmitter and also make 3d printed planes instead of buying kits

I agree with eachine planes being near impossible to fly without gyro. Also agree about XK. I’ve tried a couple 3d printed planes but they were no fun to fly because they were so heavy (even with lightweight PLA).

@@RC_Alaska yeah 3d printed planes are more similar to balsa wood planes in weight and stiffness so if you like and are used to balsa it would fly similar. What plane did you try to print? I made a savage bobber that has a flight weight of 550g to 570g depending on the battery and that's with regular pla and the balsa alternative I seen on amazon is about 620 naked. If I used lw pla I would prob get a similar weight to the micro Draco
