I am BLOWN AWAY by the knowledge, skill and musical management of Brian. I watch many videos, especially music, and Brian Tyler is absolutely astounding, standing way above the crowd. I am more than impressed.
No overdubs, no digital sampling, just pure magic and passion played from the heart and soul. There is no greater experience in the world than seeing a live interaction of great musicians playing together and creating something really special.
It was recorded after I believe, since I think they edited in the Music later onto this video since there is no choir present just the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Looking back, iron man 3 was one of the best non teamup Marvel movies. It tackled actual issues like PTSD and anxiety, which isn't what you'd expect for a superhero film. It also was I think one of the only movies (except Thor) in MCU where the hero has to deal with not having their powers. For a film about fire breathing people and guys in high tech suits, it's also surprisingly grounded in down to earth issues and situations not just in the realm of fantasy. Good job to Shane Black (I think, again) for creating such a good film that mixed together reality and fantasy perfectly
Look at how focused Brian is - He’s into his craft . The passion there is INSANE , and it’s why some of his work is his favorite , because there is a constant variety in everything he does . I have his scores in Iron Man 3 , Transformers Prime , Assassins Creed 4 as well . Not one track sounded the same , I am so floored by his hard work and enthusiasm . There is variety in every track that makes it its OWN TRACK . and each score , separate from the rest . it’s crazy how talented this man is , and how much effort and creativity he puts into his work . It’s the reason why I remember THIS soundtrack the MOST out of the iron man trilogy , because there is a flare that just isn’t THERE in my eyes when it comes to the others .
I'm absolutely in love with the "Can you Dig It" Iron Man piece and keep listening to it at high volume. It just evokes a powered-up amalgamation of the feel of Shifrin's Mission Impossible piece, Norman's James Bond jazzy theme, Mancini's elegant jazzy Pink Panther motiff and, pererhapss weirdly, the image of the three guys with saxes dancing in unison in Shake A Tail Feather from Blues Brothers! I wish I could see a recording of an orchestra performing it live (and not many are able to give justice to this epic track, frankly speaking!)
I played for a pretty long time in a pretty small orchestra and it felt amazing to play dorchester music because it is so powerful, and now I ask me what they feel by playing in an orchestra like that, it is probably one of the most amazing feelings, GREAT JOB!!
