How to cancel tail light when indicator is flashing on Range Rover Sport L494 rear lights

- In this video we look at the problem of not being able to have full visibility of the rear sweeping indicator when the rear tail lights are on. We designed a special circuit to solve this problem and fitted it to our Range Rover Sport 2016 which has the 2018 rear lights. This will fit all Range Rover Sport L494 models before 2017 including the SVR models.

thanks for the boards guys.fitted them today all working good..fitted the right side first to the wiring diagram..then removed the left only to find there is no black wire..after a brief panic i wired the left side matching the right side..both brown earth..works just fine
I am also waiting for the relaunch. A lot of aftermarkets around. Great work with the videos and all the technical aspects.
Received the boards thanks, if it ever stops raining i'll get out and fit them. Have to say you guys are great, i've bought a few items from you now and never been disappointed. I have undertaken tasks like replacing the tread plates that I would never accomplished. Without your your videos I would have ended up in a right mess with loads of broken bits. Oh, and where do I get the shrink stuff from?

In Land Rovers defence they did think of this on the new 2018 car - its just when you fit the 2018 lights on an early cat that this problem manifests itself
by the way , i have purchased lots of parts from powerfuluk for my 2012 RR Sport and all items have been great and easy to install

You guys think they’ll do a sweeping conversion for the disco 5? I’m pretty convinced that could be done without having to replace the entire lights just adding something similar go this that will make then sweep instead of just flash..?? I might be wrong

Great video Guys, these are the exact lenses I want to buy but I can only find the 2018+ versions of these upgrades on your site and not the ones for the 2014 to 2017 L494's. Please figure out how to make genuine 2018 lights fit on older models. I hear genuine lights dont "sweep" on older models.

Does this fail mot as it stops an obligatory light from working ?
It actually makes the vehicle less visible because the rear end of the car is in darkness when the hazards are on.
The OEM lights do exactly this on the newer models. When the blinker is on it can replace tail lights in back, and DRL or side lights (at night) in the front.
Just so I understand correctly, if I purchase the lights from your site now, they'll have the circuit board pre-installed or I'll have to install them myself?

@@L663 Haha Poor Harry. I know I personally would prefer they were pre-installed. It would make it truly plug and play as advertised and there's less chance for mistakes when trying to install it. Maybe to make it more fair to Harry, have a small upcharge for pre-installed circuit panels?

Yes i have heard a couple of things about this but not been able to check it out... there is a rumour that there is a setting in the user menu on the later car to turn this on and off... maybe i need to get to the dealership and have a play !

Yes in the settings menu you get the option to sweep or be solid

Scott Gorman mines on the dash menu will have a look tomorrow and let you know the sequence and see if it works over there

We sell the circuit boards with our lights ... we tried the boards with genuine lights but they dont work.... your welcome to buy them but they wont work with genuine lights !

These only work with the aftermarket lights - not the genuine ones so we removed them from sale on their own as it was not worth it.

will a hair drier be ok for the heat shrink
As you may have noticed my hair is somewhat covering less of my head than it used to ! So I have no real use for a hair dryer.... but i am pretty sure that it would not be hot enough. A heat gun is cheap...but people seem to want me to fit the boards in house....see below comments

I think you are aware that the tail-light hole is not sealed. Are the boards safe to be exposed to humidity and or rain?

If anyone here watching this video who bought those aftermarket LED tail lights for RRS will know how poor visibility of these signal lights are when rear running lights are on. This thing is the must have! Also can't wait to see the difference between Genuine ones and these! Worth the £890?!

Yes there are other ways to do this and thanks for sharing your link with others.
The problem we had is that sold the boards on their own and then they did not work with the genuine LAnd Rover lamps and lamps from other suppliers.... so we had a big headache trying to be helpful to people and so we stopped selling the boards.
