This game got me in to the sport. I played DGV for 2 years before I ever touched a disc then finally got in to it this year and now I'm almost 900 rated at the end of my first year. Because of the game I already understood shot shapes, hyzerflips, flex shots, flight numbers, and a whole bunch of other stuff before I ever threw plastic so all I had to do was learn how to throw when I finally got out to the course. If it wasn't for the game I never would've tried it and I'm probably not the only one.
Simon so to speak introduced me to the Valley as well, during quarantine, when he posted those videos with Eagle, Big Jerm and David “David” Sallee. This is still the most realistic disc golf game on any console, IMO. It’s been awesome to see how the game and community, much like the real sport has grown over the last 4 to 5 years or so.
Best first shot ever!! 😂 Can you let us all know how much was raised at the end of it all Uli? I paid to play the event and bought the disc pack. Keep up the great vlogmas fellas! 👍👍
I've watched all of Simon's disc golf valley content, playing against eagle, playing against big germ... This was the most entertaining. I definitely say that we need Uli giving flyover commentary on every hole!
I can't believe I only discovered this video now! I play DGV so much, it was interesting and fun to see Ulibarri learn to play for the first time 😆 (I used to play IRL disc golf too but had to give up on that because of health reasons)
Late to the show....just discovered this video. I use the Uli challenger in disc golf valley. I play DGV a lot, and I love seeing more pros get into it!

Super stoked to have uli stamp discs in dgv! It was fun watching you play for the first time man. It's a tuff game just like playing dg in real life you gotta practice a bit, learn how your disc fly and behave in different wind conditions. Then everything comes together and you start shredding lol.
Welcome to an animated nightmare, it can be brutal learning, even when you get half way decent, it only takes one bad shot to ruin a round. You're brave to film the carnage, Simon took a beating yesterday, but its like rl disc golf, everyone is mostly promoting. Brings new meaning to the phrase 'Pitch & Putt'.
Play around with pulling the button back for your backswing and holding it down for different amounts of time. I think on those touchy short shots (20-40 meters), you can change the loft of the shot. Longer hold=more loft. Shorter hold=more straight.
Although it’s the easiest of the IRL courses in DGV, Maple is really tough course to learn on. The rest of us cut our teeth on Sunshine Glade and Blueberry Thicket. Paul did well, though. Next time he should incorporate a forehand and use all the discs in his bag.

Max wind is actually 4 but it didn't matter anyways since you didn't play to the wind lol. I used the big skip Zeus on all the holes except the over water holes I used the avenger and Luna on the shorty down hill and shot a 3-

The game doesn't use flight numbers though? Or do you mean the speed?
If you want, you can change the distance unit from meters to feet in the settings

Same here. Used to love to play till back issues made me stop. Now DGV gets me my fix of hearing the chains on a nailed putt.

Amazing learning curve! I stopped the flippy putt thing for anything over 5m after playing a year.

Each arrow relates to the power, if you are going to the third ring use the third set of arrows (the top one)

You dont need to go for the putt mode you can choose to use the drive mode all the time. It is good thou if you putts headwind 3-4.
