I wonder if this was recorded on a Sunday. A lot of shops closed with shutters down. A lot of Scunthorpe town centre is the same as it was 32 years ago when I left. Brings back memories for me including the former Congregational Church on the corner of Doncaster Road and Oswald Road. Now called The Light.
I sometimes play your videos in the background while I work and it's always such a wonderful experience to hear noise from some other part of the world in my studio. Thanks so much! : )

Great video capturing the heart of my old home town. Just wish you had carried on an extra 30s to capture the beautiful church right next door to the museum where u finished.
Ah well... Mind you, I walked down that street after filming and I was amazed by the size of the detached houses there! I thought I was in Surrey for a moment!
Bout time too. Ppl who have never been to scunny think its a dump... I think it would've been better if he waited a couple of weeks for everything to open, it would look better with a few people about 👍

And I'm a Grimsby Town fan, so I'm the last person who should be defending Scunny!

those leafless trees and the rainy grey weather did not contribute enough to your vlog, the widening of the streets especially near the center seams to kill the character of the town. English towns look very sad in winter.

ngl I expected it to be much dirtier and older and run down than it actually was. Definetly cleaner than other parts of the UK that i've been to.

Scunthorpe is more like a south Yorkshire town than a Lincolnshire one same as Gainsborough is!
You might have a point there. You don't see many tractors around Scunthorpe, unlike the rest of Lincs!
Newport in south Wales reminds me of Scunthorpe in the similar way it is laid out.
I have never thought of here as a South Yorkshire Town,, I kinda think of it as a humberside or north lincs 👍

There is no beach here in scunthorpe,, the nearest one is down the m180 to grimsby
