Just got yourself a sub bro. Rarely see “pundits” taking accountability.
As for KH… it wasn’t the comments about the “fringe lunatic” fanbase that rubbed everyone wrong. It was the incessant mentioning of Day’s job being in jeopardy. He tried to cloak it this time by acting like he opposes what Stephen A said, when in reality, he’s been hating on Day and this coaching staff since his kid signed with Michigan and no one (coaches) at OSU congratulated him. Herbie is salty AF right now and it’s seeping through his pours to where even Fowler was taken aback.

Kirk loses some credit on that though as he played for probably the OSU coach that Day is compared to. I.e I'm sure the same was said about John Cooper haters and they were proved right in the end. End of the day the fanbase is right to be mad and dragging Day. For comparison Cooper had a 5 year stretch where he was putting out teams as good as Days but could not win the games that mattered. The coach that followed him magnified that as well as the coach that followed Cooper is Jim Tressel so they went from they may win 10 or 11 games a year and win a rare bowl game to oh look we went undefeated and won a natty. I'm not saying Day deserves to be fired but he does deserve some heat. The beat down of UT actually proves that with how bad the Michigan loss was.

The Fairweather fans is a very small but loud part of OSU. The Rivalry game and Nebraska game where the outliers. This is what OSU has been all yr. Also Kirk bashed Indiana and SMU so where is the Tennessee hate? Not a single thing said about them or that lame ass schedule they played. 3 teams with 7 or more wins. The rest under .500!!! Cmon main.

There are no fair weather fans. Our fans love our team all the time. We rarely, if ever bash the players. The coaches know the standard before they take the job. Michigan, conference, and national. We didn't spring this on him. That being said, Day has enjoyed great support from the fans. We do not take coaching hires and firings lightly. Heck, John Cooper lasted 13 years. Don't give credence to Kirk. He turned on us when his son was at Clemson. He's the wrong person to address this. Go Bucks!

This is really simple. The top of the SEC is not all the strong. Once people like you see this, everything will make sense. Penn State would win the SEC this year and they are the third best team in the B10. Why would I say this? Did you see Louisville nuke UK. Did you see Miami nuke Florida. Did you see Georgia Tech outperform UGa for three quarters of a game and just blow it. Did you see South Carolina barely beat Clemson. The SEC really isn't all that much better than the ACC this year. Once you come to that conclusion. OSU spanking UT, and PSU spanking SMU wasn't all that hard to see.
The SEC could have sent Bama, South Carolina or Ole Miss to happy valley and they would have been leaving with a double digit loss, and if the QBs of those school threw two pick sixes. PSU would have been spanking those SEC teams by 20 to 30.
I'll concede that UGa and Texas are better than SMU, but nobody else in the SEC is. SMU is better than Clemson, which makes them better than everyone the SEC has except those top two, just based on the fact that Clemson played South Carolina even and played what was the only close first round game at Texas. Did you notice Clemson was the 12 seed, and got out gained by SMU by about 130 yards in the ACC final.
SMU played horribly to start the Clemson game and came back and almost won. They did the same with PSU and got rolled. Those three B10 schools are playing big boy football.

Location, Weather and Game Time all matter in the NFL, not sure why folks thought it wouldn’t in college football. For two decades the SEC essentially got to play for championships and big bowl games with a location and weather advantage over the B1G. The CFP has changed that and some of those games will be played up north. Welcome to the new college football, SEC better learn to play in the cold or get home field advantage.

I felt this OSU coaching staff was in the way of the offense. The way they played vs the Vols is how we visualized this team could be with the amount of talent. Far as Kirk, he say he try to be professional, fair and unbiased. But he let his own personal emotions get the best of his in those comments. Fans have the right to be upset with Ryan Day. He 1-7 in big games which 4 of them he were favored and now he lost to unranked 21 point underdog Michigan. We all took up and had his back many of times. So if this team was holding back for the playoffs, then I apologize as well.

The only thing that led to this OSU team losing to that Michigan team was horrendous game planning on the Day's part (and their kicker missing two easy FG's). If you turn that offense loose with their passing game - it's a wrap. They roll straight to a national title

It's understandable for anyone who didn't watch a bunch of Buckeye games this year to look at the UM game and conclude that OSU had some glaring weaknesses. Inexplicably, they were mainly the result of Ryan Day's decision to prove how tough OSU is, and refusing to spread the field and get the ball to playmakers in space. This would have been forgivable if he had kept to that plan for the first half, then reassessed in the locker room and come out with a more normal game plan in the 2nd half. But for reasons I can't begin to understand, he kept at it, betting the outcome of the game on the ability of his offensive line, which was without its two best, award-winning players, to dominate a physical Wolverine DLine. The result accurately showed what the Buckeyes would look like if they tried that same game plan against another team with a big, physical DLine, but it showed very little about what they would look like if they were getting the ball out of Will Howard's hands within 2 seconds to edge players on screens and in-routes and crossing patterns, which had been their normal approach against good defenses all year.
I think it's true that with their 2 best players out, the OL is still a potential weakness against a strong DL, with any game plan; and I very much fear that needing to win 4 consecutive games in the post season is going to result in another OL getting injured, which will simply doom them if they do make it to the finals, if not before. But that problem was made to seem much, much worse than it otherwise would have by Day's decision to stubbornly stick to "man ball" all the way through the UM game, long after the point it was clear that it wasn't working.
