Aaron Griffin. That’s the tricky part with this sort of thing. Every axel is different. And if your like me and not really sure on exactly what is needed id work directly with Randy’s worldwide. They do this all the time and help do it yourself Des. I Gave them my alex info and they were very helpful in getting me what I needed. Only thing I asked for that they didn’t recommend was the pinion setup bearing. Also got the diff cover from Jegs. Tate who I worked with is. Tate Hudson

Aaron Griffin probably the exact same one. Unless yours happened to be a 3 series Posi unit already. :). Probably exactly the same assuming knowone ever changed out the axle or gearset. If you haven’t already Open it up and check the gearset and serial number on the axe just to be sure. :).

My 1969 Nova 8.2 held up to drag racing into 11.05's with no issues after 3 years. I had Yukon carrier and gears at 4.11 in SCB 406 with 527 HP. Upgraded to 8.5 10 bolt with billet steel spool, welded tubes, hardened axles, and jack screw cover that holds up to same car with stroked SBC 421 making 633 HP and 10.52 passes for over 2 years. It's my avatar.

I’ve heard many guys using properly built 8.2” running over 500hp with no issue at all. Randy’s worldwide is a good source to call and ask questions like these as well. Paint, grease, oil and cleaner. I called Randy’s worldwide. And told them what I had and what power I wanted to run and they set me up with the proper parts for the build.

For example 750 hp launch with sticky tires and a huge stall converter are much more likely to snap something then say 750 hp road race style car.
