  • www.truthforlife.org || By: Alistair Begg - (Ephesians 2:13) In Ephesians 2, Paul reminded his readers of who they once were, what God has done, and what follows from it. Alistair Begg explains that from God’s initiating work to the believer’s response, salvation hinges upon the phrase, “In Christ Jesus.” When we have entered into this vital, organic relationship with Christ, our identity is hidden in Him, we rest in His complete security, and our mentality will be governed by His loving law.

Dear Pastor Begg, thank you for faithfully preaching the Word of God to us week in and week out empowered by the Holy Spirit to point us to Jesus, who sits at the Father's right hand ever to intercede for us. Keep on! Stand firm! Preach on! The Lord is bearing fruit in my life through your preaching. The Lord brought me in some 28 years ago and an eternity ago and today I was reminded by Him through you that I am united with Him because He first loved me and purposed from eternity past to claim me and to reclaim me to make me His. How awefull, how majestic, how unattainable this would all be without His revelation of Himself through the Bible! How immense is His love and how lavish His grace and mercy and how immeasurable is His power even to sacrifice His dear Son and then to raise Him up, with us IN HIM to hide us IN HIM! You remind me of what John Newton wrote, "Although my memory is fading, I remember two things very clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior." Thank you, dear God, for Alistair Begg, for saving him and for setting him apart for the preaching ministry, for giving him the gifts and talents of clearly and rightly dividing Your Word, not just for our edification but for our SALVATION. Continue then, dear God, to bless him and keep him. Make Your face to shine upon him and be gracious to him. Continue to lift up Your countenance upon him and continue to give unto him Your peace, now and forever, amen. The peace of Christ reign in your heart, mind, soul, and body until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and may His promise that "...He will do it" come frequently to your mind, amen.
