I've been watching Jon's story unfold for several years now. To be such a positive force in the world and for all the people around him, while giving everything he has to his wife and his music is just...humbling.
Read Suleika's book "Between Two Kingdoms" before watching this. It's her story up to and a little after meeting him. It's an amazing read. I'm in awe of both of them. Can't wait to see this.

I was in attendance at the 65th Grammy Awards lovin every minute and had no clue as to the great personal stress Batiste was under. This looks to be quite the emotional roller coaster of a film! Much continued strength and creativity to Jon and Suleika!

Just watched - one the best documentaries I've ever seen. It felt more like a movie than a documentary. So cinematic, musical, heartbreaking, and also heartwarming. Bravo to them both for their bravery and sharing their lives, joys, pain, and artistry with the world.

When he shaves her head, it is an act of love that makes you realize what love is.
Jon Batiste has always been just a incredibly positive guy whenever I see his face and hear his laugh. I had no idea he was dealing with such serious life stuff at home. He is just an incredible force of positivity to maintain that while going through this.

i remember when he won AOTY, there were so many people angry and upset with him because they didn’t feel he deserved it over the mainstream artists he was nominated with. i really hope they watch this and understand that he fully deserves everything he’s achieved.
Mainstream usually means the ones pushed on uscall by the record companies who own them. Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, and loads of other mainstream "artists" use the same Swiss company to write their extremely formulaic and boring songs for them, to a specific set of notes and timing. True music lovers can't stand that stuff.

I’ve always loved Jon and his work…
But after watching this documentary, I love him even more. The sheer strength, determination and love he has demonstrated through his personal and private life is insane. I think it definitely proves the point that the happiest appearing people are the ones likely in the most pain.
Really admire Jon Batiste--his humility, his thoughtfulness, his art. When I heard his partner's cancer came back, I really felt for them both. Looking forward to watching the documentary. They both seem like such inspiring people.

I read Suleika’s memoir a few years ago (it’s excellent!) and was so heartbroken when I heard her cancer had come back. These two are so incredibly inspirational on every level. I can’t wait to see this film.

This trailer had me on the verge of tears. There is just something about Mr. Batiste and his energy and that of his wife, that draw you in and make you want to know more, learn more and be more. There are not many EXTRA SPECIAL human beings on this planet, but I think that Mr. Baptiste is def one of them.

This man is incredible. His energy is infectious and his musical ear is impeccable. He doesn’t seem conceited, rather, he comes across as confident and humble.
Both of these incredible people articulate so beautifully through art their human journey. The struggle and triumph to balance faith while holding harsh realities is the most finest masterpiece they could create . A true gift of love to the world .

Omg, whenever I see him, he's always smiling, always happy and his music always sounded joyful. I really thought this guy must have a problem-free life to be that happy always. Little did I know his wife is suffering from cancer. You never know that from his appearance.

He talked about it on The Late Show. Not often, but a number of times. He first mentioned it when Stephen interviewed him about the Grammies. I remember because my husband was diagnosed with cancer for the second time around the same time.

When Jon first came to my attention on Stephen Colbert's late night show, I was stunned with his humility amid among his jaw-dropping gift of musical genius. As he won award after award, Jon stayed and awed the show. He is a great human being who brings joy with his music!

This looks absolutely amazing. It looks like a movie with actors, but it's real life which makes it even that much more spectacular.

This is the most intimate portrayal of a love relationship that I have ever seen. It is deeply spiritual and joyous despite-or because of- the suffering and uncertainty they both endured. Thanks to Jon and Suleika for their courage and openness.

It's a shame that this hasn't been given a theatre run. My cinema has been running the Coke Zero commercial that he sings in, for months. It would've been a nice gesture to get one run of this movie on the big screen.

It makes you fall in love with music, and from what i can see of the trailer, the movie would likely make us fall in love with love and especially with life itself too. I didn't know anything about Jon Batiste before this heck i googled after to make check if this is indeed a real story about real people or what, but now that i do, i really really love this music and really looking forward to watching the film someday. Butterfly, fly home.
