    I've been playing around with the scotch gambit for a couple of weeks now after watching this video. It's a lot of fun, fairly aggressive without being dubious.

    At 39:30 it's not merely a balanced position....Black can take on d4 and then on f3, forcing gxf3 followed by perpetual check, yes?

      Unless I'm misinterpreting the line you're looking at, I just analyzed the position with a computer myself (granted, I'm no master so I'm very prone to mistakes), and couldn't find forced repetition. An eventual fxe4 seems to be a key move. Even tho the computer on low depth hates it, I can't figure out why, even after following computer lines white seems to hold a healthy advantage if black tries to go for repetition?
