Camino Primitivo: Vilar de Cas to Ferreira (Day 8 - 9), Lugo and 100 KM

Walk the Camino Primitivo from Vilar de Cas to Ferreira, stopping in the majestic city of Lugo. Don't forget to explore the Roman Walls (Muralla Romana de Lugo) that encircle Lugo.
We started the Camino Primitivo (Camino de Santiago) on May 8th, 2023. We made great time, walking from Oviedo to Santiago in 11 days.
This is our first time walking the Camino Primitivo. We hiked the Camino de Invierno in Winter 2023, the Camino del Norte in Summer 2019, and the Camino Frances in Fall 2017. We packed ultralight bags for all of our journeys.

The wall around Lugo is cool! We were there a few years ago during a Roman festival in the middle of June. They had Roman centurions patrolling the city. It was a lot of fun and very busy. We were lucky to find a spot in the albergue.

Your videos are amazing; the energia between you two (and supporting cast), the quality of the vids, the music, todo. But ¡híjole! they are not helping me make my decision for my primer camino. I watch the Via Podiensis video and decide, yep, that’s the one. Then I tune in to the CF vid and, wait, mejor the Francés. Now, watching the Primitivo series, it’s “whoa big fella”, that walk looks reeeally cool.
