    I have bought so many stocks in individual companies. There are so many stocks going to rocket in the long run, right now safe to invest in an ETF that tracks the S&P500 and ride it out. I put $130k into some growth stocks with a Financial advisor handling my portfolio. some of my picks are, NVR, LISP.SW, SEB, VOO,DOWJ, BRK-A, AAPL,IVV, NYSE, NASDAQ, TSLA, I've gotten 82% return so far this year I'll see where it goes.

      She's headed that direction. There's this little girl from Kentucky who's a sprinter who can also flat out fly in the 400. What a combo that would be 100 200 and 400 and a relay God is. Can you imagine if Sydney McLaughlin ran the 400 and the 400 and Abby ran the 100 200 and 400. Could be five individual goals in the next Olympics. Her Worlds WR performance was one of the most jaw dropping races & leaps forward I have ever seen! just insane! I think she goes for the first sub 50 second 400m hurdles first. That would be so historic to crack 50! - like Bannister breaking 4 min in the mile. To break a massive time barrier like that is huge. I hope I get to see it...I want to see that...i want to see the first sub 2:00 hr marathon. The first sub 1:40 800m for men...and Syd break that 50 second barrier in the 400m hurdles. Then she goes for the 400m open record. The only concern I have with Syd...I think she retires young. Much younger than people think. She will hit her goals then retire early & have kids. I have been watching her since she was 15-16. She has been at an insane elite level for a long time. She also seems to have really bad pre race jitters. You can see how she follows a strict pre race routine to reduce tension - zones out. She is facing more pressure for longer than anyone. I just dont think she enjoys to perform due to those jitters. She doesnt race much. Everyone has pre race jitters but I get more stressed for her watching her before the gun goes off. Once the race starts she is fine. Her coach Bobby K. has had some of the best women in history running for him. Same pattern...they dont race as much but when they do...usually WR's or titles. Bolt ran with joy. FloJo..same... the pocket rocket SFP...etc they love to perform & run with joy. I just dont see that with Syd. I hope she gets both records she wants...first women going sub 50 and the open 400m. Then Im 75% sure she retires young to build a family and leaves the world stage behind.

    • @leeboy7139

      @@leeboy7139 True I agree but I think Syds jitters go beyond the normal pre race range. I ran in college. I have watched many other runners race in person, on tv..etc. Her pre race jitters & routine hit me. I have a tough time watching her until the gun goes off. She doesnt race much. Doesnt appear to enjoy it until the gun goes off. None of this reflects on her performance once the gun goes off which is just insane. I just think this is a factor that gets her to retire younger than people think. remember the post olympics break down she had. She has to endure more pressure than most. I think she breaks 50 seconds in the 400m hurdles. Gets close to the open 400m record...then retires young. Has kids...done. She will probably go into fashion or something else with her looks & wholesome personality. Im a huge fan but not pre race. Im thinking we have 3-4 years max with her then she leaves the stage early. The pressure, the jitters, the low racing schedule, ...etc just my assessment.

She doesn't seem to like being categorized as merely a running machine, to the exclusion of all else. Maybe get her family going, and go back to school and get her degree and then coach. Dalilah is great but is now probably past her peak, but Femke Bol is about the same age as Sydney and improving fast. It would be great for the sport (hurdles and flat) if Femke mounts a challenge, this could become a good rivalry.

    • @efisgpr
      @efisgpr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Femke is historically great, for sure. Her finish is particularly absurdly fast.
      But, I don't see her ever pressuring Syd in any event. She is only 5 months younger and hasn't done nearly what Syd has. And Syd is blazing fast at the 100, 100 hurdles and 200 as well.
      She crossed 300mH faster than Femke's 300mH WR time, too, even though she was saving for the home stretch.
      She is also highly explosive in jumps (20+ LJ as a teen...18'6" at 14) and even jogged a 1:09 500m on a tight indoor track at age 19.
      She is just a freak.

      @@fredrickemp7242, her FASTEST time ever was set by a man over 87 years ago in this event. So, in 2022, it would indeed be the most mediocre of men in the sport that could handily defeat her record. But I do not want to fill this space up with the obvious.

    All great 400m hurdler runners can be good 800m runners. I would love to Sydney train for the 800m and challenge Athing Mu especially since they're now training partners under Bobby Kersee. Maybe after Sydney breaks the 400m flat record she will think about breaking the 40 year 800m world record 1:53.28 of Jarmila Kratochvílová who once held the 400m world record with 47.99.

  • @wendydelisse9778
    @wendydelisse9778 ปีที่แล้ว

    If she tries the 400-meter run without hurdles, she should also try 200 meters and 800 meters. A lot of runners do very well at both half and double their prime running distance.
    Regarding running outside of one's prime distance, a lesson can be learned from history decades ago when the first "perfect mile" run happened, the phrase "perfect mile" at that time meaning more than one runner finishing a mile in less than 4 minutes in the same race. The 2nd place guy in that race was a 3-mile man from Australia, and in that race he was competing in the Empire Games, now known as the Commonwealth Games, which were held that particular year in Canada, far away from his home in Australia. The 1-mile race was not really his event, but that year long ago, he proved he still was one of the few men in the world who could run a mile in less than 4 minutes back in a time when a lot of tracks had a surface consisting of very low priced spent coal cinders from some nearby coal power plant.
    Running at half distance and double distance is good cross training, in addition to being good candidate secondary racing distance candidates for her. Interestingly, the 1st place guy in that first perfect mile, a man from Britain, had temporarily hit a plateau at a lower speed during his training, and frustrated, he went hiking one day in the hills of Scotland. After resting for a day or two, he found that his 1-mile speed had increased again. He had accidentally gotten in some pretty successful cross training from that one daytime hike that he did out of frustration. With cross training, a runner never really knows what's going to work until he or she gives it a try.
    I like seeing track and field records getting broken. I wish the young woman in the video well if she decides to sets out to break that 40 year old record for the women's 400 meter no-hurdles run. I hope she gives 200 meters and 800 meters a try as well. She might surprise some people, like that 3-mile guy from Australia did years ago when he gave the 1-mile race a worthy and medal-winning try about 2/3 of a century ago in the old Empire Games.

    Don't be surprised if Sydney McLaughlin sets a 400-meter hurdle record that is faster than the 400 meters world record has happened before. Gerhardus Cornelius Potgieter in 1956 set a world record time for 440 yards, which is a little over 2 meters further than 400 meters, which was faster than the 440-yard world record.

      To clear up this misunderstanding Gerhardus Cornelius Potgieter set a world record time for 440 yards hurdles of 49.73 seconds achieved in the commonwealth games final in 1958 which was faster than the 440 yards hurdles world record which is slightly longer than the metric equivalent and not the 440 yards flat world record as stated, the 440 yards flat world record at this time was 46.0 seconds by Herb McKenley in 1948.

I mean shes top tier way higher than I could ever physically achieve that being said, remember, its not about beating the competitor.... its about crushing that number so far back that no one can ever touch it. If there was a woman that could make this happen.... its prolly her. Crank up that kick for the last 80, and lean lower over the hurdles.... so upright. But damn impressive to see someone so dominant. Problem being there is no one close to push them to max potential.
