I think this clip is amazing. I have heard many young violinists and would be prodigies both live and on TH-cam. In my opinion this performance ranks with anything I have ever seen or heard. Her raw emotion is quite moving and genuine. Moreover, the fact that she can communicate all of that emotion and stay in perfect tune throughout elevates this performance to exquisite! Bravo!
Cuanta musicalidad, que manifestacion mas preciosa de arte al nivel mas elevado de belleza interpretativa, maravilloso, gracias al canal por compartir tan precioso video👏👏👏
After watching such a miracle such as this, how can anyone honestly say that there is no God, that he did not have a hand in this genius performance!! Open your eyes and behold his blessing to us in this talent! :]
WITH A LITTLE PRACTICE, SOME SPEED, AND A FEW STEROIDS, ANYBODY CAN PLAY LIKE THAT - EVEN BETTER! :^o ROFL! YOU GO YOUNG LADY, NOT ONLY WAS THAT BEAUTIFUL, BUT SEEMINGLY HUMANLY IMPOSSIBLE! BRAVO - THABKS FOR POSTING THIS VIDEO!
A reincarnation of Heifetz even in the way she plays. Eyes riveted on the fingerboard and the bow technique too. Looks like the hand of Heifetz playing, You can check this on old Heifetz film
I'm so amazed that of so powerful and dynamic performance of this piece. Absolutely one of the best. I've nerver heard of the interpretation like this. I wish I could play like her...
shes a pro now- just saw her perform the bruch concerto w/the minnesota orchestra at orchestra hall a few days ago, wOw i had no idea her talent started at such a young age o.O ...but thats to be expected :)
this is sick its so good. she is a machine. intonation amazing. bowing impeccable. she plays this better than most adult professionals for absolutely sure. only nitpicking, i did not like the choice to play the chords at the end so slow. they can be the most exciting part. also she skipped section 2 and 3 which would have been nice to hear. but overall, um completely mind-blowing. so amazing. bravo! bravo.
Epic new mix Fritz Kreisler vs Sunrise Manufacture - visit us for a modern take on this beautiful work by husband and wife team. Classical, Electronica, Downtempo. Peaceful evening to you all from UK.
I have watched quite a few of the recommended other versions of this piece and still think this is the best. It astounds me that anyone can find fault in any way with this. If you play violin you will never be this good so get over it.
@MultiFormula1 I don't understand how you could listen to a13 year old give a performance like that, then turn around and instantly critisize. I don't know you personally, but I'd bet money that you can't do anything as well as she plays this piece, at 13 or any age.
the introducer is correct - technique and interpretive skills far exceed her yrs she plays brillaintly here. i love her power and passion and this has only improved w the succeeding yrs
I wonder why Andante is missing and whether Leila ever heard maestro Kreisler playing this peace of his. He played a lot more variatively and more interpretation of every phrase. But she was only 13, after all. It comаs with age.
Igor Pospekhin She played with raw power and emotion, I saw this live and I was young, she opened my eyes to the fact that young women in North America had greatness.
Why the second part was missing? If anyone will play this masterpiece you need to play the origin. However the young Leila was playing with such an enormous power and splendid technique so we will forgive this.
Chill out about her tempo. It's her own way to play. Just because most pople play it slow, doesn't mean it's right. She has a very close contect to the music in my opinion
Am I the only one that feels this video was sped up? Not much mind you, just a little. Watch the conductor. During some passages he conducts with unnaturally fast hand gestures. It looks choppy. I am not bashing on Josefowicz. She is one of my favorite violinists, and I have great respect for her.
...i feel kind of bad about posting something mean on here, so i deleted my comment. i just wish folks would lighten up. it also pisses me off when youtubers comment on concert violinists or prodigies when it's very doubtful they possess the tact or talent on the violin. i understand that much. to my credit, all i said is she looks like the bionic wonder swiveling around like that. if anything i DO think the video might be flawed, but the sound is fine. and no, i cannot play the violin like her
Pot leaf! Subliminal tokage in the window for your listening pleasure! The music was awesome as well, though I feel she starts rushing a bit. Seems she wasn't following Mr. Williams too well.
She has the precision of a robot but the soul of a storm!
Urban Ledged is that: Pearlman has loaned her a Stradivarius.
IMHO she is worthy of a Strad.

Unbelievable power generated from such a young lady.
Stunning!
Yes ,so young and talented!
This was the first time I saw her and was so incredibly moved I never forgot her name. Thank god for U tube.

I remember that evening in Symphony Hall in Boston. Performance was awesome.
She really plants herself on the stage. She has tremendous strength and concentration, and of course her technique is phenomenal.
I'd never heard this piece of music before. I'm very pleased that Leila was my introduction to it. That was an astounding performance.
After watching such a miracle such as this, how can anyone honestly say that there is no God, that he did not have a hand in this genius performance!! Open your eyes and behold his blessing to us in this talent! :]
Tako močno ❤😮
In the second part, allegro, the phrases were presented so outstanding, let listener easy to feel each sentence. excellence young performer.
Amazing!
Her interpretation is so beautiful!
A driving force!!!!!!!! Expressions are so mature at this age!!!
No words! Is there any better?
Just heard Smile here in Belgium on Klara Continuo. So beautiful.
WITH A LITTLE PRACTICE, SOME SPEED, AND A FEW STEROIDS, ANYBODY CAN PLAY LIKE THAT - EVEN BETTER!
:^o
ROFL!
YOU GO YOUNG LADY, NOT ONLY WAS THAT BEAUTIFUL, BUT SEEMINGLY HUMANLY IMPOSSIBLE! BRAVO - THABKS FOR POSTING THIS VIDEO!
What a feeling, in the music and in the young violinist! I always loved this pice
Leila Josefowicz is actually a native of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. She only later moved to LA to further her music studies.
So impress I heard in the first part, her strength bow and on fingerboard were highly stick together to make me simply weep !
A reincarnation of Heifetz even in the way she plays. Eyes riveted on the fingerboard and the bow technique too. Looks like the hand of Heifetz playing, You can check this on old Heifetz film

I've nerver heard of the interpretation like this. I wish I could play like her...
OMG...she's amazing. Like a little machine. It's almost as if they are speeding up the video in parts...almost superhuman bow technique....
This is the ultimate TH-cam video!

LEYLO4KA BRAVO,VELIKOLEPNO,GENIALNO!!!!!
Wow.Found this by accident.Big Talent.

What an amazing bowing !!
Just you! I still LOVE her playing. Her interpretation of the Saint Saens-Intro and Rondo Capricioso is my favorite! :D
5 stars again ! About the conductor, is he really mr.John Williams, the Steven Spielberg's
films music composer ?
Powerful, incredible, very good
Her violin sounds like a beautiful dramatic soprano! :-)
stunning. I like her technique with right hand :)
what the hell are you talking about its awful
Incredible!!!
I love the powerful and amazing sound of her violin: pure energy and feeling.
Wikipedia says she was born in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and moved to LA at age 3. So she's not technically a native of LA.
Virtuosa que Gran interpretación
outstanding! 5 stars here
there's a part missing in the beginning...
Zoey Taylor yeah she skipped andante
Awesome..
This reminds me the Szeryng recording, I love both interpretations equaly.
Ps: The central part of the prelude is missing xd
yeah i was so confused when i heard her skip straight to the allegro section.
@@ntent1 Me, too.
shes a pro now- just saw her perform the bruch concerto w/the minnesota orchestra at orchestra hall a few days ago, wOw i had no idea her talent started at such a young age o.O ...but thats to be expected :)
devil in a blue dress. she's AMAZING

*Tibetupsidedown, it's not sped up. This is the tempo of the song.
very well played! loved it!!

wow you're right ive never noticed it hahaha :) but she plays so awesome!
I am sure it's the sound in clip that's off. It's an old clip. Ms. Josephowicz' tone is generally rock solid.
awesome......!!!!
YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is that John Williams?
When I watch this kind of video performance, I wonder what I am doing, trying to play violin. Really. Talent is something inexplicable...
Bravoooo!!!!
This is what I personnally call An Artist
Astounding....
@MultiFormula1

themusicdr I saw this live at the time, now looking at these videos and understanding she was a complete genius as a child. Not as an adult
Awesome expression!
well done. I'll have to follow her and see what she's doing currently.
OMG I love this girt so much

Igor Pospekhin

No mention of Kreisler playing this on recordings has ever surfaced in discographies.
Im amazed
this is addictive
bennydraws very
Viva Jesucristo y su Santisima Madre la Virgen Maria ,gracias a ellos Leila es lo que es
How do her notes come so crystal clear. She has a terribly strong bow hold with the index finger practically choking the bow...
Hands down....
excelente
1 word. Damnnnnnn
Smokin' !
Why the second part was missing? If anyone will play this masterpiece you need to play the origin. However the young Leila was playing with such an enormous power and splendid technique so we will forgive this.
Yes, she did make a cut, but that's TV biz !!
♥️
Chill out about her tempo. It's her own way to play. Just because most pople play it slow, doesn't mean it's right. She has a very close contect to the music in my opinion
Old soul !!!!
nice violin..
wow........

No. It was recorded live from television.
wow
If with authority was a person 👏👏👏
Wow she played it so well!!!
But I think her interpretation was a bit hard for the orchestra to follow, although it was a very good interpretation
what a boss
it was a bit more rushed at the beginning but i think she did pretty well =)
she's more prettier THEN than NOW.
@gnatural why is it bad - that she still has fire and style and great skill
i think its too fast, i can't understand what she plays in many moments..but technical its very good)
He is indeed Williams. But Spielberg is his filmmaker more than Williams is his composer.
5 Star !!!!
Serena
its too bad that so many years later, she still plays the same way
does anyone know the tempo
Maturity...like an old timer....wow
wow this is great
you think she meant to play really fast at the beginning or was she just nervous?
...i feel kind of bad about posting something mean on here, so i deleted my comment. i just wish folks would lighten up. it also pisses me off when youtubers comment on concert violinists or prodigies when it's very doubtful they possess the tact or talent on the violin. i understand that much. to my credit, all i said is she looks like the bionic wonder swiveling around like that. if anything i DO think the video might be flawed, but the sound is fine. and no, i cannot play the violin like her
this piece is sped up...digitally or something. it looks funny as hell...like that eighties sitcom about the robot girl
No.
ahh i wanna abe her!
that's how i like 'em ;)
I don't think that matters at all !! and besides... she played so much better when she was young like in this video.
Pot leaf! Subliminal tokage in the window for your listening pleasure!
