Hello Arun and Vijay, beautiful video as always, as beautiful as the brilliant lavender carpets of Jacaranda laid on the ground when they are in full bloom, it was also interesting to know about this trivia related to the sandalwood trees and makes us Kannadigas proud to know we have the largest production of sandalwood in India, the bug must live in profusion in Karnataka! Lastly it was surprising to know that we have our own Van Gogh, our own Monet! Will definitely check out his works!! Thanks
Glad you liked the music - "Don't Cry for me Argentina" is very evocative of the country and the region for many. It seemed the most appropriate sound track to use.
Thank you Vijay and Arun for this enlightening video on the Jacaranda. Learnt so much about this tree but don't see many in Bangalore any more. I saw many Jacaranda trees on the road side on a drive from Rishikesh to Joshimath - 225 Km.
Jacaranda- Neriem. A dream. Bangalore: Limpid pools of Pink, Cerise, Yellow and Heliotrope reflecting the trees.! Though I had the opportunity to visit Pretoria several times, and more so the Union building, I was not fortunate enough to be there during the Jacaranda season. I really missed something!
Thank you Arun and Vijay for this enlightening series! We can see the research that has gone into this episode- content, music, video etc. As someone else has commented, Jacaranda is disappearing from Bangalore. Will the tree census planned by BBMP help in documenting it.
Thank you Arun and Vijay for this multi-faceted video on Jacaranda! It's superb. Look forward to welcome viewers of your video to Rumale Art House in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru. Thank you!
Dear Sanjay, you deserve credit and applause for preserving the memories and paintings of Sri Rumale. We will do our best to help more people see his work - both virtually, and in-person at the Rumale Art House in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru!
