Having fun is such an underrated part of making comics. For way too long I was focused on making a serious, deep and scripted story, but the moment I gave up on that and started working on a new unscripted story I came up with in the shower one day, I started enjoying the process more and found the motivation to keep going. It sounds dumb, but enjoying what you draw makes so much of a difference its scary haha.
Damn I can relate I also want to make my own webcomic but I don’t know where to start. It can feel really daunting at times.
My life goal is to draw like you one day ✨

Akira is my favorite example of striking the balance with backgrounds.
I've been watch murata (one punch man mangaka) and you can definitely see the difference years of being in the manga industry makes. The dude is like a tornado. He basically goes from a light storyboard to finished inking and wastes no time it's insane.

Backgrounds tend to be my weak spot, so I enjoyed watching you draw the first panel. Well, more like specific backgrounds. Cityscapes trip me up a bit more than country(?)scapes. So I'm trying to improve on that and perspective because I'd like to do more detailed backgrounds for at least establishing shots.
