Thank you so much to those who joined me in the premiere for this reaction and to all of you VIEWING it right now. I was blown away with Marco's vocals. Pink Floyd is probably VERY proud of Nightwish for hammering this one home! Where should I go next??
I think there's one Nightwish member you haven't seen and heard yet; Troy Donockley, amazing multitalent! He plays Uillean pipes (Irish bagpipes), flutes, tin whistles... and he also plays guitar, e-bow, bouzouki, keyboards, bodhran and sing harmonies... You name the instrument and he probably can play it, LOL, and he play it well! He brings some Celtic sound to many Nightwish songs. So! I recommend you to react next to My Walden, live at Tampere 2015.
Here is one tip: Marko Hietala (Nightwish, bass guitar) also released first song from his coming new album in English. You should try that...Name of the song is "Stones"
I make this wish when I find a new person reacting to Nightwish. If you finally get to react Tarja's "Sleeping Sun", please do it different than every other one who reacts to Nightwish. Do the ORIGINAL VERSION of the song, the 1999 composed operatic version. Tarja is a wonderful classical singer (and yet almost no-one reacts to her classical songs!) and that's the version she sang almost entire of her Nightwish career. In her final year 2005 they rearranged a contemporary version of the song, and she sang that in the End of an Era concert same year. Unfortunately almost all reactions to Tarja's career is from the same concert, as it has the best audio / video quality. But that concert lacks the early operatic period of her Nightwish career, and along with some of the best of her songs, including the original Sleeping Sun. There are many of us who consider Oceanborn and Wishmaster albums Tarja's best, Tarja was singing operatic style the first 3 of her albums, they changed her style to less operatic classical and contemporary style (often mixing in the same song) for her last 2 albums. Sleeping Sun 1999 version Summer Breeze festival 2002 th-cam.com/video/KDbE8dWY4n0/w-d-xo.html Sleeping Sun 1999 version Raumanmeri 2003 th-cam.com/video/g3FOWzoKfS4/w-d-xo.html Sleeping Sun 1999 version Helsinki 2018 th-cam.com/video/Vnwsyd6TXx8/w-d-xo.html Sleeping Sun 1999 version (music video) th-cam.com/video/UGfKMV5AbMI/w-d-xo.html The music video is kind of legendary, quite amateurish in fact, as they were so early in their career, but it is legendary and one of the Nightwish music videos one should see (the must music video is Nemo). The live versions come with pretty good quality, considering so much back in time. Also included a link to a fresh live performance of Sleeping Sun, in case you are interested comparing to Tarja currently, of course from Tarja's after Nightwish career.
One of my favorite songs of Nightwish is Song of Myself live at Wacken 2013. Then another one is 7 Days to the Wolves live at Wembley Arena. Thanks for today............ :-) fyi Tuomas says that this is not a cover but a tribute. He and Marko are huge fans.
No problem, @Ann Waychoff!! It was my pleasure to react to them, hopefully I'm doing them a solid! As I commented, I was happy to see you pop in there! Song of Myself is one that MANY request so that one might be on my more immediate list of NW reactions to come from me. Tuomas calling this a tribute is yet another gesture from the band versus cover... they have class! Thank you for the view and comment... we'll be chatting again that's for sure 👏🙌😉
@@DannymikReacts You are doing great. I think you are getting the essence of Nightwish. They do have class. the thing is that the music is the most important thing to all of them. They also care about the fans and want to give them the best show they can. Keep doing what you you are doing and we will be talking again.... :-)
What I like particularily in this song is that the guitarist Emppu gets to shine. This shows some of the critics what he can actually do. Some diss him because he doesn't appear overtly technical in his solos. Well, he did longer more technical (wankerer) solos that the critics seem to like when younger. But those guys miss that he always choose to make the solos to go smoothly with the athmosphere of the song - and doesn't want to steal the spotlight for minutes. I get he's a very social guy - during many songs you can see him touching the arms of his bandmates while passing them on the stage - a touch of encouragement, friendship. He plays for, in and with the team.
All I know is that he's shown me good things in the 2 songs that I've reacted to so I'm on his train. Critics will always do their thing to stir the pot. Just enjoy the music and live life! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
This is one of the best covers ever. They took the essence of the original and lifted it with extra power and intensity without going too far. I love it.
Yesss!! They made it "dirtier" and I appreciated that. A heavier sounding Pink Floyd is right up my alley! More NW reactions from my channel will happen. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
I love how this showcases what stellar musicians they all are. None of them are show boaters like some bands have; they play what is needed in all songs whether it is simple or complex. Each in their own way is such a great talent.
I'm sure that most here will say that. Honestly, I like both versions for different reasons. This one had a little more character to it and that's what I was looking for. Thanks for the view and comment... happy Friday to you 🙌👏😊
Indeed! They made it a little dirtier which I thoroughly enjoyed. Music like this is timeless so I understand the multiple views. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
Definitely more character imo... I'm just happy that Marko showed me that he has some pipes on him. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
Yes they did and that's the way to do it. As she said, it's a "tribute" to Pink Floyd!! I will compile a short list of Nightwish reactions and then put up a poll in my community tab. Keep an eye out for it next week. Thank you for the view/comment... hope you enjoyed this one 👊👏
When you cover a group as great as Pink Floyd you better put knock it out of the park. High Hopes isn't my favorite song but a very solid one... kind of a chilling vibe. Nightwish gave me a darker feel with a little more grit. I need to get back in the driver's seat as soon as I could... miss doing these reactions! Thank you for the kind words!!
I had High Hopes for this one... And my high hopes got reached! ✊✊ Btw I love that u use emojis in ur titles, will try to implement that in a cool way aswell!
You noticed those hahaha... I think that they might catch the eye so hopefully they serve a purpose. Nightwish never disappointed my so far. More of them to come. I hope you are having a great holiday and I want to wish you a happy new year 👏👍🙌
But then, Nightwish is also one of the best bands in the world. A fringe genre, known by less people, but still top skills. Considering Nightwish cultivates many diffrent genres in their music.. it's not a big surprise their cover songs are well made too.
Marco is such underrated vocal. Some of the Finland's metal singers are crazy good (Jarkko Ahola being another one example), but they stay in shadows because it's not mainstream genre they sing.
Hadn't heard of Nighwish before, but Pink Floyd is my favorite band (and also the greatest band of all time) but wow, this just shot emotion up and down my body. Great cover. If Nightwish has a Gilmour-ish feel in their own music, I'll definitely have to give them a look. Thanks for another great reaction video.
Jason: there's certain elements of the guitar style that reminds me of David Gilmour. Otherwise, the symphonic metal is in its own category. However, you can tell that Pink Floyd is an influence here. I agree that they (Pink Floyd) is an extremely good band. They might be #1 on my list BUT they are up there with the best. I guess it depends on what mood I'm in. Thanks for all your support!
@@DannymikReacts Just saw a Pink Floyd cover band last night (called "Floyd: A Pink Floyd Tribute Band") They were great. Their timing was spot on and the vocals were pretty accurate too.
I really enjoyed it... totally my pleasure. More NW will be coming from my channel, that's for sure! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
The amount of raw emotion this has is partially just what Nightwish does, but the other part comes from the context: they had to part ways with their original lead vocalist that night due to having grown irrevocably apart. This song, performed while she was taking a break, was such a bittersweet culmination of the whole thing and they've never played it again after that night.
I'm sure that this was a VERY touchy time for the band. It made for one hell of a performance with this song. I loved it! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
There's a good deal of truth behind this statement. The original version is very polished sounding, almost lacks some character. So, the different elements here are very enjoyable. As many are saying, a GREAT tribute to an AMAZING band in Pink Floyd. Thank you for the view/comment 👏🙌💥
Hi Danny What a awesome Band to do a vid on #Nightwish yea. Those Guys are always awesome i got use to them when i was in collage and man they epic. This Song is such a cool chilled one for a Sunday Night. Hope you have a awesome week bud and i will see you on the next one Chat later Danny.
Nice, Ricky! I'm late to the game with them but better late than never. The original version is by Pink Floyd, a group that many can't even touch. I can go for some chill music right now... that sounds good. My house is filled with kids screaming and yelling hahaha!! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
When paying tribute to a legendary band, trying to copy them will usually fall flat on it's face. Nightwish made this song their own, and they did a damn good job of it. While still keeping a Pink Floyd "feel" to it. They are different. I think the original has more of a sad sound to it, while the Nightwish version brings anger and bitterness to the forefront. Both styles fit the lyrics very well in my opinion.
That's a great point! The polished sound of Pink Floyd's version is more sad sounding. Damn, I wish I would've pointed that out in my reaction. Regardless, I love this version, a great tribute to a legendary band in Pink Floyd. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
Nightwish tribute to Pink Floyd! Really like it! They all really enjoy playing it! If you want continue with Marko´s voice, you could try from this same Helsinki 2005 concert other cover version. again they took a song and made it to metal... Phantom of the Opera. Duet between Tarja and Marko. But in Nightwish way, not that musical way. I think you would like it. And little bit more Marko and his musical talent.
I'm considering everything you guys have left me (in these comments). My NW journey has really just started so it should be fun to keep going. I'll mix them in my regular reactions so stay tuned. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
"There was more AARRGH in it". Yeah, there was a lot of that. Sure, Marko is a good singer, and although he is only rarely the lead singer in Nightwish, he still has quite a role in vocals too. Love the feelings that come through his wording in the song. And yeah, it was a team effort.
Oh, and if you wish to hear another song where Marko plays big role in Nightwish, I would recommend "Phantom of the Opera" from the same concert. People always suggest Islander, and yeah, that's where Marko is the lead singer. Another song often forgotten where Marko actually is the lead singer, is "The Siren". The funny side of Marko, and also Anette's, is found in "Scaretale," a song fit for Halloween theme. BTW I spell "Marko" with K, as he said some time back that he now goes again with his birth name, instead of the artist name Marco. Dunno if he continues to use the artist name in Nightwish, but... the difference is for us Finns do we pronounce the name in English fashion or as a Finnish first name, for foreigners there's hardly a difference.
I take it that you are a big fan of him as you are very descriptive. There's so much to get caught up on but I'll just accept that one by one. I enjoy their sound and lover interacting with all you NW fans. Great music calls for great times. More NW in my plans 😊 Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
I'm not there yet but that is 1 song that I'm very excited to get to at some point. Song of Myself is up next 👏✌ Thanks for the view/comment and I hope you have an awesome weekend 💥👊
All I know is that I will be back for more NW, guaranteed. A band that is typically not my thing has me wanting more... that's what it's all about! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
Dude you should really react to Wintersun - Sons of Winter and Stars live rehearsal at Sonic Pump Studio... it's dope! Please and peace 🙏🏼😎✌🏼 Great reaction btw! 👌🏼
yep, this one!!! That Wintersun drummer (Kai Hahto) is nowdays Nightwish drummer. So this song is also good in that sense you will get good understanding how awesome drummer he is.
You guys will have to remind me to do this one if a lot of time goes by and you don't see me doing it. I have so many requests that I'm sure you understand. Thanks for visiting this reaction.... I appreciate it more than you guys know 👏🙌💪
I can finally take my time and give this some proper time. Got got instant goosebumps 3:04, I agree this is definitely a gritter and heavier version, the sound of the keys is different but I like it. The guitars are certiantly more metal sounding than the blues tones that David Gilmour has. That solo, those are called "Tap and Slide" followed by Hammer ons and Pull offs. I love it, the tap and slide are rarely used and only see people like Steve Via and Van Halen use them and a few others but this was a nice addition specially in this track. 7:52 more chills, wow, that guys voice. They really made this song their own. I love the heaviness and grit. Thanks for doing this Danny.
It is a more heavier version, a dirtier sounding "High Hopes". Thanks for the information on the guitar question. I just think that's so cool.. definitely sounds good. A group like Pink Floyd is nothing to mess with so I'm glad that Nightwish did them proud. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
Hello Nightwish and Floor fans! The Nightwish Army is taking an effort to get a few Nightwish songs selected for the annual (dutch) radio NPO2 Top2000. But we have to be VERY quick about it because voting is only remaining possible for today (Dec. 6th) and tomorrow (Dec. 7th)! For further explanation go to Denise Hof's video. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/Ooj31YIADGQ/w-d-xo.html
I would go to Phantom of the Opera with Tarja next . Nightwish has no weak link they make each song their own. Tarja was their first singer, more operatic, Annette was a good singer, and Floor Jansen well is Floor Jansen can do what the others could do and then add her own voice. Touamas the keyboardist and composer and creator of Nightwish writes his compositions to the strength of his singers and instrumentalists, the reason I mentioned Phantom as your next choice because you did High Hopes, I just want you do experience what this band can do and I do recommend that you choose any of their songs but live is always(in my opinion) the best option for Nightwish. I’ve been of fan over twenty years (65years old) Metal/rock fan. Pink Floyd was and is my favorite but Nightwish is it own genre, I’ve never figured out why they are not one of the world’s premier bands, that’s why the Nightwish army will decend are your channel because they can’t figure it out either. I enjoy these reaction channel because I live again the excitement of seeing the same reaction to the songs of Nightwish, I would react to Storytime, Shutter for the Beautiful, Yours is an Empty Hope, Nightwish cruise. Just some suggestions good luck on your journey can’t wait to see your exploration of this band🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤩
How did I not see this 😂 this sounds really good. I enjoyed the vocals they're pleasant to listen to. It's slower than what I personally would like, but everything does sound good. ☺️
Hello Sabrina!! The original version of this song is the same way (speed) with a more polished/delicate sound to it. I really wanted to hear how they stacked up to Pink Floyd and how he sounded. I never really heard his vocals so this was a good song to react to. Appreciate your support... thanks 🙌👍👏💥
It's better in Finnish IMHO. The "stones" repeated in the English version sounds repetitive. When the word for stones is the first word of the sentence in Finnish (last word in English) it doesn't sound repetitive. And that's really my only criticism with the English version of it.
So this must be a solo thing that he has going on. It would be interesting to hear him play/sing without NW behind him.... hmmmm 🤔 Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
A totally awesome tribute to such an epic band in Pink Floyd. Always appreciate you support my friend! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
This is so awesome version of the song tuned by Nightwish and singing by Marco. Some people say that he is the best singer of NW even though they are female fronted typically. However, all the respect to the original Pink Floyd song.
Both singers do their thing and touch people differently. Ghost Love Score is one of the best live performances I've ever seen. This had a different feel to it but that's the beauty of music. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
@dannymike, Old Pink Floyd fan here, I can honestly say that this version of the song is my favorite by far. If you want to listen to Marco and Floor killing it together try Ghost River from the epic Wacken 2013 concert.🤟🤟✌️✌️🇨🇦
I respect Pink Floyd a ton... they're at the top for me as "one" of the best bands ever. And that's a comment from me only knowing 1/3 of their catalog. Then comes Nightwish... they are a sound that I've never heard before. The theatrical goth kind of metal is usually not my thing but they have surprised me with everything I've heard from them; this was a great cover to an awesome song. I believe the song is called "Song of Myself" by Nightwish. Yeah, I think that's my favorite so far. More to come... thank you for your interest!
That might be where some of the emotion came from?? We'll never know but it is interesting. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
Its just got a little more....uhh a little more something....... (Its called METAL!!!!!) haha you almost got it lol ;) Great cover, impressive band as always. normally not a huge fan of this style of metal BUT they do it very well, the singers powerful voice really cuts through the music well. Great reaction my friend. I think you should cover the band Knocked Loose - either Mistakes like fractures or denied by fate
Yeah, I had a bit of a brain fart right there hahaha. I'm not normally a big fan of that kind of metal but the talent simply shines with them. Never heard of Knocked Loose. You have some interesting suggestions but I appreciate that! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
And I appreciate that they made it a very good version of their own... I really enjoyed the darker, heavier feel to it. Thanks for the view and comment 😎👊👏
Hahahaha he's my cousin so that's why there's a little similarity. Hope you enjoyed this one... great tribute to a great band! Thank you for the view 💪👏💥
Very happy to see you in the small posse who made it... it was an exciting 12 minutes for me. Love when people add where they are viewing the video from 👏💥 Thanks for being a MikoManiac 🔥💪👏🙌❤
You Should Check Out Phantom of the Opera (End of an Era Live). Tarja Turunen (the Original Nightwish Frontwoman) and Marco are Out of this World on that Song. After That, Reacting to Poet and the Pendulum (Live at Wembly 2016) would be Cool. It's On Ghost Love Score Level or Maybe Higher.
Most excellent suggestions! I will be conducting a poll at some point on my community tab and let the NW fans. It's my job to pick 5 songs with a ton of requests. Stay tuned! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
Great reaction. I saw NW latst year and they are awesome. But if you will hear more of Marco´s voice you can listen to his former band Tarot. I put a link for a great concert down below. So d...ed good. But Floor(the singer now in NW) are also awesome. She has a master in opera for example and she´s great. She now lives here in Sweden with a bandmember of a great swedish metal band called Sabaton. Heard of them? If not, pls react to one of their songs too. I put a link to those too... Love from Sweden...
Awesome, Anneli!! I'm familiar with the name "Sabaton" but have never heard any of their music. Totally not familiar with Tarot but I do like Marco's vocals. I've done 2 other Nightwish reactions so I'm now aware of how talented Floor is... she's wonderful! Thank you for the views and the suggestions 😊👍
Dannyyyyyy! Now we have a Pink Floyd song being done by Nightwish, interesting. Overall, I have no problem with what I just watched. Little different but that's why I don't have any issues; they didn't completely copy Floyd's version. The newer style of your vids is an improvement (opinion). Keep it up!
They nailed this one, Cuz!!! It's great to hear a band take on a song from a legendary band. I was definitely impressed 👏🙌 Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
I will get to more Nightwish but I don't have my finger on which song is going to get reacted to next. I feel a vote is necessary so I can see what their fans want. Thank you for the view and comment 👊💪🙌
Stick with Nightwish, I found them 3 years ago and listen everyday....Marco's voice is amazing and Floor's voice, well there or no words to describe it....Pink Floyd has always been my favorite band, but Nightwish has just tied them....
I have considered that one but I need to do some more research on what the song represents... and make sure I don't get a copyright strike. The record is strict with that one. Thanks for the view and comment. Happy Monday to you!
DannymikReacts yes, it's almost required to research that song before playing it! So much meaning behind it. I look forward to your review on it! Have a great day!
People confuse a cover version of a song to a song interpreted by another band. Trying to recreate the original is pointless. Nightwish created their own version without desecrating the original. Emppu is a master guitar player and has the soul of David Gilmore. He has a job to do in Nightwish and does it remarkably well.
Great points that I do agree with. Emppu is crazy talented so it didn't surprise me to hear a great performance. A buddy of mine watched this video and immediately did some digging on Nightwish... he was blown away. Thank you!!
Trust me @Jordy Jinx, my Jinjer journey is NOT over. I feel like i'm just getting started! More to come 👊 Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
I will say that I'm a fan of The Stones as well. I know a small part of their library but all most of what I know is very good. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
I prefer it to the original. The band is so tight and they just killed it. Bands must cringe when they hear that their work is being covered. I can only hope that PF breathed a sigh of relief. This was from the End of an Era album. They walked of stage and terminated their lead singer in a very public open letter. To me this song is their statement of excellence in continuity without her.
Both are really good songs (obviously) but I admit that the heavier sound is a bit more exciting. The original is very polished. Thank you for the view and comment. I have to figure out which NW song is up next. Peace 🙌👏✌
To each their own. If that's where your at then continue to focus on Tarja. I've never heard her perform yet but I will get to it. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
I think you and I had exactly opposite reactions to his vocals. He can sing, I just didn't like his tone. I didn't get a Gillmour feel from the guitarist. David is all feel while this guitarist is all technique. Musically 9verall, I was never attached to this song and found the original a little boring, so the extra energy here is a plus. Overall though, I wouldn't return to this cover.
Oh shite, John hahahaha.... here we go. You didn't like his vocals here? I liked what he brought to the table, such emotion and some nice sandpaper in his tone. The words you just said about the guitarist makes some sense but I still felt it. The drummer for Nightwish is really grabbing my attention. The guy goes off back there and I can definitely feel it. High Hopes is a little sleepy in the original version but it's a song that I was excited to see how Nightwish could make it their own. Great "tribute" to the great Pink Floyd. Love your honesty... gives us something to discuss!! Thanks 👏💪
@@DannymikReacts The band is definitely talented. I both just didn't think his singing style fit the song well and I actively disliked it. Every time you said, "Oh!" I said "Ow." I can't explain why better than that. We'll end up on the same page again on a review. My only issues with the last Rush one was the specific performance. Funny that normally I have no problem with Rush live versions as they are usually almost identical to the record. There is a newer live version of Working Man from I believe Cleveland that completely messes with the arrangement. Great for a listen, but not the first listen. Oh well. :)
I feel that me and you sitting next to each other would make a great team reacting to these songs. I can say yay while you say nay. Then a great discussion takes place. I know you have an ear as a musician and that's why I enjoy your assessments. I need to grab another person on my panel.... my older brother is talking about joining me soon. I need someone to argue with hahaha! The next reaction should be interesting to hear you chime in (if you do).
@@DannymikReacts I wanted to chime into the Incubus but was listening while driving. I liked it and it was a first listen. It's funny that they are still together with I think one member change while singer Brandon and guitarist Mike's like brothers and Mike's step brother put together a band called Audiovent that released one CD and broke up because they couldn't get along. (I had their CD. It was OK.) Even if I moved back to NJ, I'd still be too far away to join the panel. I'm not a fan of living in winter, so moving closer is out. LOL. "Musician" is a stretch. I can sometimes fake it well. But all my stuff is either sold or broken. To be continued...
I remember a song that a local radio station played by Audiovent... I'd have to look it up but that name rings a bell. Reading stories like that makes doing TH-cam that much better. And yeah, New Jersey is like 6-8 hours from me. I'm in western NY (south of Buffalo). Wishful thinking 👊
Thank you so much to those who joined me in the premiere for this reaction and to all of you VIEWING it right now. I was blown away with Marco's vocals. Pink Floyd is probably VERY proud of Nightwish for hammering this one home! Where should I go next??
Storytime by Nightwish, just do it man ! You never get disappointed 🖤🤘🤘
Song of Myself & Storytime from Wacken 2013, 7 Days To The Wolves from Wembley 2015 (to start with lol).

All I know is that he's shown me good things in the 2 songs that I've reacted to so I'm on his train. Critics will always do their thing to stir the pot. Just enjoy the music and live life!

@@DannymikReacts Thanks, pretty exhausted but satisfactory way. 2 hrs to go, well - a few min served from that too.
Actually, I like this heavier version better than the original one.
I'm sure that most here will say that. Honestly, I like both versions for different reasons. This one had a little more character to it and that's what I was looking for. Thanks for the view and comment... happy Friday to you 🙌👏😊
I love nightwish so much they are a awesome band
I totally understand and I hope you enjoyed this reaction. Thank you for the view/comment 🙌👏😊
Best cover ever, listen about 100 times or more ...start 10 years ago...still a mastepiece..🇸🇪
Indeed! They made it a little dirtier which I thoroughly enjoyed. Music like this is timeless so I understand the multiple views.

Emppu is THE Electric Hobbit!
Oh? Emppu is not an High Elf ?
@@jerrymail sometimes he is! Depends on who's buying! ;)
I simply love this version better than PF's. Marko's vocals brought so much emotion and Emmpu's guitar was awesome
… Emppu … :) (m+pp - 1+2 is possible in Finnish, 2+1 mm+p is not)
Definitely more character imo... I'm just happy that Marko showed me that he has some pipes on him. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
I've been a follower of Floyd since the sixties and Nightwish killed this version fantastic
They made it their own. It's a wonderful rendition! 😎🤘
P.S. I agree with Ann Waychoff on which songs to do next. 🤘🔥🤘
Best Floyd tribute ever
They NAILED it!! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
I’m always thankful with how thorough you are in your videos and I enjoyed watching this till the end. Nightwish is one of the most emblematic bands!
Btw I love that u use emojis in ur titles, will try to implement that in a cool way aswell!
You noticed those hahaha... I think that they might catch the eye so hopefully they serve a purpose. Nightwish never disappointed my so far. More of them to come. I hope you are having a great holiday and I want to wish you a happy new year 👏👍🙌
@@DannymikReacts I am! I throw the same wish right back at you! ❤️
Thanks... appreciate it!
Pink Floyd is one of the best bands in the world and is truly difficult make a cover of his musics but Nightwish is.... Nightwish!
But then, Nightwish is also one of the best bands in the world. A fringe genre, known by less people, but still top skills. Considering Nightwish cultivates many diffrent genres in their music.. it's not a big surprise their cover songs are well made too.
This was a great TRIBUTE to the great Pink Floyd! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
Marco is such underrated vocal. Some of the Finland's metal singers are crazy good (Jarkko Ahola being another one example), but they stay in shadows because it's not mainstream genre they sing.
That's sad but true... many smaller artists are just as good as some of the bigger ones. Thank you for the view and comment. Happy Sunday to you 🙌💥
Great nightwish version 😍
😊🤘👊❤
Indeed, it's not a cover as such, it's more a tribute to Pink Floyd, to honor them. In Nightwish style.
It’s a phenomenal cover by a brilliant band. Thankyou for the reaction 🤘
Awesome😎 They killed it.
So much better then the original 😎👍
I agree......... :-)
There's a good deal of truth behind this statement. The original version is very polished sounding, almost lacks some character. So, the different elements here are very enjoyable. As many are saying, a GREAT tribute to an AMAZING band in Pink Floyd. Thank you for the view/comment 👏🙌💥
@@DannymikReacts :-)
Hi Danny
What a awesome Band to do a vid on #Nightwish yea.
Those Guys are always awesome i got use to them when i was in collage and man they epic.
This Song is such a cool chilled one for a Sunday Night.
Hope you have a awesome week bud and i will see you on the next one
Chat later Danny.
Nice, Ricky! I'm late to the game with them but better late than never. The original version is by Pink Floyd, a group that many can't even touch. I can go for some chill music right now... that sounds good. My house is filled with kids screaming and yelling hahaha!!

Marko can sign! That typo was just too funny to fix!
And he can 'sing' as well :)
@@amax1229 :D
Yes he can! Honestly, better than I thought he could.... thanks for the view and friendly chat, gents!
@@DannymikReacts As I see it, these two versions are two different responses to regret.
More NW in my plans 😊
Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
Not sure if you're ready for the ultimate Nightwish experience yet, but when you are do The Greatest Show On Earth live at Tampere. 😉
I'm not there yet but that is 1 song that I'm very excited to get to at some point. Song of Myself is up next 👏✌
Thanks for the view/comment and I hope you have an awesome weekend 💥👊
For your next Nightwish I would say Weak Fantasy for Floor or The Islander if you want more Marco. Both from Ratinan Stadion, Tampere, Finland 2015.
All I know is that I will be back for more NW, guaranteed. A band that is typically not my thing has me wanting more... that's what it's all about! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥

Great reaction btw! 👌🏼
yep, this one!!!
That Wintersun drummer (Kai Hahto) is nowdays Nightwish drummer. So this song is also good in that sense you will get good understanding how awesome drummer he is.

Emppu treads in the footsteps of the guitar gods here. 🔥🎸🔥
Great reaction again.
Ghost River next please.

@@DannymikReacts Anything for The Good Cause!
Exactly... good luck with the results 👏
Appreciate your support... thanks 🙌👍👏💥
I had no idea they'd covered pink ffloyd! I know korn did a version of another brick in the wall a while ago
Oh yeah, you reminded about the cover Korn did.... wow! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
Marko Hietala "Stones" (NEW), please!
It would be interesting to hear him play/sing without NW behind him.... hmmmm 🤔

Hello @K Z! Hope you enjoyed this one and thank you for the view/comment 💥🙌👋
I like pink floyd, but this is the best song i ever heard,so fabuleus,
I respect Pink Floyd a ton... they're at the top for me as "one" of the best bands ever.
The irony of this being done during the End of an Era concert. They fired their original female singer, Tarja Turunen, immediately after this show.
But what is the irony of doing this in that concert though? Edit: do you mean the lyrics?
That might be where some of the emotion came from?? We'll never know but it is interesting. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you have a great Thursday 👏💥
Its just got a little more....uhh a little more something....... (Its called METAL!!!!!) haha you almost got it lol ;) Great cover, impressive band as always. normally not a huge fan of this style of metal BUT they do it very well, the singers powerful voice really cuts through the music well. Great reaction my friend. I think you should cover the band Knocked Loose - either Mistakes like fractures or denied by fate

Thank you!!

Peace 🙌👏✌
I definitely prefer the Pink Floyd version. After Tarja Turunen was dismissed from the band in 2005, Nigthwish never attracted me that much anymore.
I ask you one thing. Please stay with Tarja. Leave Nightwish alone if you don't like them.
Dude Check Ghost Love Score (Wacken 2013 Live), I'm Sure it Will Change your Mind.
It was OK.)
Even if I moved back to NJ, I'd still be too far away to join the panel.
