Norway - The Halden canal system

  • The Halden watercourse is adjacent to the border with Sweden and consists of a number of lakes, rivers and canals. It was expanded in the middle of the 19th century to transport timber to the factory plants on the coast, in Halden. The total length is about 150 km. The film shows all lock systems along the canal, including takes from the summer opening of the locks in Ørje in 2019.
