- John Lewis is the number 1 department store for Christmas across all of the UK. Today I visited the flagship Oxford Street store for vlogmas to see all of the amazing Christmas decorations 2022. This really could be the best Christmas store in the world..?

I always buy decorations on Boxing Day December 26th when everything is on sale and save them for next year. I hardly ever pay full price.
I'm team "real tree". I've never had a fake one in my life. The scent is part of the atmosphere for me. As for the decorations, I've always preferred a combination of silver, white and dark blue. So that's my Xmas tree theme every year. Each year I add a few unique pieces to my ornament collection. Mainly vintage looking stuff ...deer, snowflakes, ballerinas. I love turning my home into a magical winter wonderland.
This time I'm watching this vlog in London 😂 thank you Hannah for inspiring to visit this beautiful and my favourite city 🤗🫂
My husband watched with me and had many opinions on the various trees. 😆 And now he wants little decorated huts to eat in on our town's Main Street. London at Christmas looks lovely! Thank you for sharing, as always.

Another great vlog, the variety of the decorations was amazing. The Christmas Tree tableaus had a nice variety too but seemed cozier last year for some reason. Maybe it's just me. All in all a top notch vlog and I can't wait for the next one.🎄♥

Amazing, I love that greenhouse but I would drop that before getting it on the tree x 😂 oh that brown tree looked dead 😮I got the bear head and was sooo tempted to put glitter on it’s nose 😂😂😂😂. Have a wonderful weekend Hannah x
Large Ornaments. Heather they are beautiful even in a slim tree. Every tree should have some. In a small tree just 3 in the front will do. Not ‘in-line’ but placed ‘zig-zag’.
On a 7’ tree, 6 or so, placed on the sides that you can very clearly see is wonderful. Kind of snuggle them inside more than poking out away from the tree.

I was always a real tree purist and swore I'd never get a fake tree. Then we moved into a home with very tall ceilings and now we have a fake tree. 🙄It's just honestly SO much easier and I can keep it up for months rather than a few weeks. (I decorate it for Halloween and fall too.) I do go to the Christmas tree lot to get some real scraps and put them in a little fabric bucket, that way I still have the real tree smell in the house. 🙂

Love the different Christmas tree displays. I have tons of decos and now do a smaller real tree so I go with a color scheme. White/silver, gold/red, etc. Last year was more classic red/green/gold/silver and some old style decos. I even had a little train under it. Small wooden one I painted years back. Thanks for the lovely tour!

After watching the John Lewis TV ad, I thought you'd skateboard in. I'm feeling very Christmassy this year. I'm excited to see what my family have opened in the Advent calendars I've bought them, and I'm also looking forward to spending Christmas with my daughter and grandchildren.

Thanks for taking us on a visit to JL, Hannah. It's been years since I've been there! I love the fact that you stuck with the one theme of just looking at decorations - I can't believe how much there is to choose from! Not being much of a shopper these days due to tight budget and some mobility issues, vlogs like this help me view what's available and see what I like, so I don't have search from scratch, because you're right! Loved the store again this year! I think all the tree decorations are great for those who have a tree in untraditional rooms. I can imagine a beautiful tree with all the food bobbles all set up in a nice big kitchen. Looking forward to your next store tour.

Lovely tour of what is available at JL, those bears! I love themes, as I am single I tend to start from scratch and put baubles of my fav color on the tree as a base THEN start buying ornaments that say ME, every year I buy ONE extravagant bauble (like that greenhouse, yes please) and that is how I have created my collection for my tree. As I love REAL trees I don't want to buy a real tree & then toss it aside when the holiday is over, I'd rather enjoy it in the forest. Fake trees are so lifelike so that is what I have.
Beautiful vlogmas Hannnah!!! All these christmas trees and ornaments are really so creative and so beautiful. My personal preference for decoration is something more traditional. In my opinion, a good decoration is a very important part of Christmas. Every year I try to get a new ornament, at least to change it a little bit! If I lived in the UK, I certainly would have chosen a british theme, as it has been a year of so many changes in the UK. Merry Christmas Hannah!!! 🎅🎄☃🦌🎁🌟❄

Totally agree.. that red was to red. I love a traditional tree with gold, wood, greens and red.. but a dark bordeaux red...not a bright cherry red.
We have a real tree when we are home for Christmas and use a fake tree when we go away because i don't want my 5 to 20 £ handmade glass ornaments and wood ornaments falling off and breaking when we are away...which could happen with a real tree due to pine needles dropping off.

My dad was a career fire fighter we never had a real tree except one year. When Christmas was over he took the tree and set it up against our metal swingset and lit it on fire. It burned it may be less than a minute. He looked at us and said that’s why we can’t ever have a real tree again. True story. I’ve had Live wreaths that only when they were put on the front door facing out.

I have a fake tree but that’s because we decorate in November and a real tree would dry out.

I just want to say thank you again for taking all the time out that you do to make these wonderful Christmas vlogs!!! There are so many things to see in London and you do such a great job sharing your insight with all of us. Its so interesting to see all the different ways people choose to decorate and I so enjoy them all. They sure wouldn't work for me I'm a bit too traditional but its so fun to see. I'm real tree all the way especially if you have children but of course that just depends on what works for the person. I have an artificial tree now because I can't deal with a real one anymore. Going out and cutting down our family tree and the adventures we had here in Alberta, Canada are still some of our families favorite memories. Trekking through the snow, freezing some years lol! Memories, that's what its all about!!!

I am from the USA and we always get a real live tree that we pick out and tag in August when the weather is nice. And we cut it down about 10 days before Christmas 🎄. Thank you for the Vlog Hannah.
