I stopped listening to ace metaphor a long time ago but around the time he blocked me, he was writing something about how I should "KEEP YOUR LEGS CLOSED" (slut shaming) although I was celibate lol and had a semi-religious angle. So it's weird that he is an advocate for casual sex/dating for sex now
Tony, as a married person, is speaking straight facts. Respectfully.
There are married people on Ace’s panel and even Stephen Speaks who is a Christian. I went to the live podcast show and was grieved tbh. The live show was like a club. With the music playing and the twerk contest. Then the questions that were selected to be asked were childish and overly sexual. It was clear that Ace and most of the panel live in the world. The married woman and Stephen Speaks “ironically” left during the overly sexual segment. I also noticed Stephen looked visibly uncomfortable during some of the questions. The questions that were even a sprinkle biblically-related Ace would ask the married woman or Stephen to answer. Which showed me that Ace is not coming from a biblical background and doesn’t want to. He does promote the world and he promotes sex. I had to repent for being blinded and interested in the live show. I believe there’s a reason why Ace blocks out cursing on TH-cam. In person he was cursing so much and drunk. Tony and Ace have different beliefs and audiences so this “debate” would never come to an agreement.

I tuned into Ace Metaphor's, "Tonight's Conversation" podcast for a few episodes and instantly felt confused and the conversations were very cringy and unsettling. I just can't entertain nonsense and what's the purpose of having a platform if it doesn't produce any substance? How is it beneficial for the black community? Like Tony said, we are struggling as a black community, and we need to produce information that will help build healthy families and marriages. "Tonight's Conversation" is part of the problem!!!

Tony is so right, I went to one of their events in Chicago “Tonight’s Conversation” and it was pointless. There was no purpose, no solution, no take away. The panel depended on the audience to navigate the conversation. It was essentially pointless. And now I understand why. The sensationalism is what led me to buy the ticket.

This debate made it very clear why intentional dating is a better for women spirituality, mentally, physically and emotionally. I feel like the recreational dating that Ace mentioned is the reason we have so many women who were misled, abused, and cheated on by men “trying to find themselves” and as a society we end up with fatherless children who will only repeat these vicious cycles as adults.

Tony was wrong and was being disrespectful by telling that man to take the bass out of his voice because he disagreed with him! You can stand on business without being disrespectful and attacking the person. God wasn’t nowhere in how Tony handled that conversation

Tony got a a little disrespectful. Don't tell another man to take the bass out his voice while taking to you. You're not his father, that's not your son. I agree with him though. He didn't have to disrespect Ace like that. Ace Metaphor is very "all inclusive" and I can see how that can hinder the progress of love and marriage. But did anyone ask Ace is that his purpose? His purpose could be to give everyone a voice and Tony's is to create marriages. Apples and Oranges.
One thing we don't need is more divisiveness. Thank you for promoting mature dialogue.
Ace metaphor and his platform has been extremely helpful to my personal development. I'm married, leaving a toxic relationship at times verbally abusive and negatively impacting our kids. I have learned through Ace I can love and support my husband as a friend and leave him. I have learned love is not the be all and end all and that love is not enough and can be used as a manipulative tool by the wrong people. Regardless of your relationship/dating priorities, you need to know how to protect yourself and your standards are your protection. That advice can align with a person whether they are seeking a religious marriage or common law or just dating not looking for serious (understanding how your actions impact someone who wants more).
I agree Tony Gaskins is out of touch with today's reality.

Why did they bring Ace on?
This was healthy because it's easy to be used to being the only voice. As Christians, we have to learn how to stand on God's word and our testimonies of obedience to it. God desires that we be the compare to the culture's contrast.

I’ll never understand Ace. Marriage is based on Godly principle. Why would any ungodly person desire marriage? If you don’t desire Christ, marriage is not necessary in your life.

These “influencers” do that with every area in life; money, people dynamics, marriages, career, etc. They exploit Godly principles and rename it as their game but make it all inclusive so sins are acceptable. Some of the influencers don’t recognize that their “game” is based on the foundational principles that God created in the beginning.

Ace Metaphor is being realistic. Tony is speaking to religious people. Everybody doesn’t believe the same about religion. I’m with Ace!! Other perspectives are 100% needed for transparency. Tony is apart of the group of older adults who swept family issues under the rug and said prayer will fix it and therapy isn’t needed. If you are not trying to reach people of all walks of life then you are close minded.

7:01 I'm with Tony! It's not Tony's alignment, it is God's alignment. As we look at the alarming increase rate in OUR community of broken homes, heart, and families dating OUTSIDE of any way that is not God's way is a CLEAR sign God's way is the way, truth, and life.
And God's way is not marriage, but placing His faith in Him and following His commandments.
Tony handled that like a TRUE example of a real man. You listening to a man who is a husband talk vs a man who is not lol choose what you want and decide who to listen to
