Preach the Word of God is the language of the people. How else would the light of the Word of God penetrate the gross darkness covering the people. When God communicated to Moses, He used the Language of the people. When Jesus communicated His truth He was mindful of the language of the people.

I don't understand, the Catholic church created Jesus who is the christians savior today. So what other god were they teaching to be killed? The story was not clearly explained as to what does the Catholic church believe and what these men believe to be killed?
The Catholic “Church”did not create Jesus, they did not create Christianity. True Christians believe in Jesus sacrificial death for our sins we are saved through faith in Him alone as found in the Bible.

Jesus Christ lived before the creation of the Catholic Church, which I believe was created during the reign of Emperor Constantine of Rome. Before this there was the early Christian church in the first few centuries and Christians typically were persecuted by Rome. Emperor Constantine later converted to Christianity and the Catholic Church was instituted, which combines some elements of the early Christian church with elements of the Roman religion. People such as Wycliffe and Huss protested these discrepencies as not purely following the bible. This was a threat to Papal power and idealogy and for that they were persecuted. Yes, both protestants and Catholics believe in Christ as a savior, but their doctrines and beliefs differ. Through seeking, one can find the truth.
