  • With only 1002 Torpedo Alley Pinball Machines made back in 1988, just how many of them survive today?? This stunning example of this little seen and played game will probably convince you to ant one yourself, once you see what fun it is to play and how nice it can look with a FULL restore like the TNT Craftsmen have done! Watch, learn, and enjoy!

    Todd, I am happy that you like the stereo audio. A great restoration of this game.
    Torpedo Alley was my 3rd sound package for Data East and the sound system was getting mature and capable of a lot. Kudos to Lonnie Ropp for syncing GI to a lot of the music. It is a nifty effect. Just wait till you hear "The Hobbit". It will be spectacular on the JJP stereo sound system.

      David Thiel WOW!!!! DAVID!!!! Thank you for posting! People are discovering how rich this game really is now...under appreciated back then, but it has come into its own. It's obvious you love your job with all the effort and details that are present in this soundtrack. I am glad I can expose so many people to this game....and we look forward to your continued work in the new HOBBIT--we look forward to this release!!

    i actually own this game, it hasn't worked for years and it's sitting above my dad's garage. as kids we had mastered getting the jackpot and actually got high scores that were more digits than the score board would show! i used to love the girl saying "well done commander!"

    Like the look of the frosted LEDs you put in. That really upgrades the machine.
    Never been a Data East guy, but this one looks just gorgeous. I could see this one standing right beside my TFTC (only Data East I own) just for the look of it.

    my world was a place in long island. I was at stony brook. met cool chick and took her to arcade to play pinball. not sure she liked it, but we played torpedo alley for a while. brilliant multiball. never saw it again. She was cool. Her friends were also cool.

    Finally! I have been waiting to see Torpedo Alley ... and it was worth the wait! Excellent machine guys! Not crazy about the models on the back glass, Data East could have done better there. I agree the foil sides really add to the machines visual appeal.

    I actually played this one at Golden Years Ice Cream Parlor myself but it was SO messed up. The right flipper return lane was missing and the slingshots didn't work. The owner of this machine SHOULD have properly maintained it despite charging 75 cents to play it!!!!!

    Torpedo Alley is a one spinner game, It's got the correct style spinner on the left of the playfield, which is not correct. That's interesting, that someone located that spinner and decal and added that.

  • @gallimead
    @gallimead 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    You'd think..ahem, that the designers of the Pcb's would have the fore sight, to place the battery back up system, at the lowest point on the board.
    But who are we, us mere mortals to suggest such a thing?.
    Never seen or played this game. What was the final production run??. It looks sweet.

    • @tntamusements
      @tntamusements  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      gallimead Yes...its very sad...Gottlieb was the first to embrace the lithium cell in 1989....and TNT Amusements was the second in 1999 (Pinball 2000 also used a lithium cell in the computers!!

    dude i would of fixed the board .... im not sure about the chips working again , but u can clean+relfow and try them . maybe they can be bought too IDK. But even multi layered boards that are broke are fixable .. just takes time to jump everything. I use to fix cell phones with liquid damage all the time .. it was often 50/50 if they work again after cleaning ... just use 90%+ alcohol and a toothbrush. That board is HUGE with like HUGE traces. lol , u could break the thing in 4 , let it rush for a winter and it could still be fixed; given the effort. the board just holds parts and makes connections .. you could copy it with a piece of plywood and jumper wires. again given the time & effort

    The damage to the board is NOT from acid. Those are alkaline batteries (NO acid) and when they burst the alkaline corrodes the PCB.
