Well you obviously haven't seen the incomparable MORISSETTE AMON LAMAR from the Philippines at her FAVOR CHURCH Christmas Eve 2020 concert, she sang the whole song with all the original lyrics and with a live band, none of this backing track nonsense, nothing else even comes close 🇬🇧👌🔥❤️
Hi Bear...Not sure if I agree with you here. IMO Martha and Lucy have never mailed in a song. They sang this beautifully. I feel they put their heart and soul into every song they sing together. No exception here. Please react to their newest version of "Mary Did You Know". Both Lucy and Martha are 2 years younger here. Martha is only 12 and Lucy 17. Since then two years have passed and both their voices have matured.

This time I just didn't get that feeling, I wasn't feeling it. When I listened to her cover of "Hallelujah" Man I was moved and even added it to my playlist... When I heard Lucy and Martha sing "The Climb" I was moved it made me feel like I can accomplish anything in that moment I was filled with emotion through lyrics like the voice moved me.... It's difficult for any stalwart Lucy/Lucy-Martha followers to see anything negative in what they do,I have listened to this rendition so many times,& honestly can't understand you marking it down,tried to look for a flaw,but honestly can't,I am a fan of Carrie Underwood so will look it up in order to compare,though Lucy will forever be my favourite,I think she has a magic ingredient not seen very often in this world. I really appreciate that you do honest reactions and don’t sugar coat things up I don’t agree with you. I do think that they have better covers than others, but this is magnificent. Another great version of oh holy night and of Mary did you know is from life in 3D. Three siblings. I’m sure that any fan of Lucy and Martha’s will love them too.

I would like to see her sing a solo, like a couple of songs the brothers have done to see what she really has as I think she is being held back by the brothers, She does have the most beautiful and large smile,
Hmm, it was pretty obvious after the first fifteen seconds, and after, that you weren't over impressed with this cover since your expression remained passive throughout. I've just listened to Carrie Underwood's variation of this song and it's very nice. The two renditions are very different. However putting the song aside for the moment, if you want to compare tone quality and breath control between seventeen year old Lucy to Carrie, then there is only one winner-Lucy Thomas. I will add, that I don't think there is another female vocalist out there, that has better vibrato than Lucy. And how anyone couldn't be impressed by the beautiful harmonics when eleven year old Martha joins Lucy with her harmonies is frankly beyond me. Of course this is my opinion and you are entitled to yours but judging by the responses below it would seem, so far, that quite a lot of commentators have the same opinion as myself and the Thomas sisters, as usual, take this cover to another level.
I like Carrie, she's ok, but I Love Lucy, and there's no comparison when it comes to vocals, Lucy has it hands down, nobody like Lucy and Martha out there.

They say music is personal choice, so leave you to your opinion but definitely cannot agree. Perfect tone, pitch, control and harmonies from 2 young people - Lucy and Martha is where I will be! I will recommend one version for pure emotion and that is the live version by David Phelps.
